Hulk Hogan needs very little introduction as is well known in the pro-wrestling industry and has been also deemed as “The Babe Ruth Of Pro-Wrestling and Sports Entertainment”. Though a Florida resident, Hogan was born in August, GA on August 11th, 1953. Born to a father, who was a construction worker and a mom who was a home maker, Hogan would grow up and begin his athletic career with the sport of Baseball, as a pitcher. Hogan would make an exceptional ball player as he was scouted by teams such as the New York Yankees and Cincinnati Reds.
Though highly skilled in this sport, it was not his calling. Soon after, Hogan would begin his career in professional wrestling, where things would change forever for him and the industry itself. Hogan will forever be remembered for his days in the WWF/WWE as the film itself will focus on the origin of the Hogan and Hulkamania. When we think of Hogan, we think of Wrestlemania in its first decade, with Hogan main eventing a majority of them. From Wrestlemania at Madison Square Garden where Mr. T., Paul Orndorff, and Rowdy Roddy Piper were involved in the main event.
Who could forget the slam heard around the world when Hogan slammed the Eighth Wonder Of The World, Andre The Giant at Wrestlemania III. Hogan is arguably the greatest babyface in the history of professional wrestling, could easily be the greatest heel in the history of professional wrestling when in WCW he betrayed his fans at Bash At The Beach and created the NWO with Kevin Nash And Scott Hall. Hogan may also be considered as having one of the greatest matches in WWE history when he went one-on-one with the Great One, The Rock at Wrestlemania X8.
At the moment there is no official release date for the biopic, the movie deal itself was worked out with Netflix and filming and production should begin soon.
