It was announced today that the NXT announce team will be expanding, adding Alicia Warrington as its newest member. Alicia Warrington hosts the video series Heavy Wrestle on YouTube and is a lifelong wrestling fan, but that’s not all – she’s also a professional musician.
BEYOND excited to announce – I am now working w the @WWE 👏🏾 I am your host #AliciaTaylor newest member of @WWENXT Announce Team. Originally from Saginaw, Michigan, Warrington has been a touring and session musician for many huge musical acts, including Miley Cyrus, Kate Nash (who is also on GLOW), Tracy Chapman, Kelly Osbourne, and Lillix. While those acts may be a tad on light/pop side for some wrestling fans, fear not – her own project, DOHRN, is a lot heavier (as in death metal).
As well as being an in-demand drummer around the world, Alicia Warrington – who will be using the name Alicia Taylor on NXT – is also the host of an interview show on YouTube called Heavy Wrestle, where she’s interviewed such wrestling stars as legends like Mick Foley, Stan Hansen, Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Terry Funk, as well as newer stars like ACH, Jake Atlas and “All Ego” Ethan Page.
