Just ask <strong>Darren Pang,<\/strong> one of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tntdrama.com\/nhl-on-tnt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TNT\u2019s Inside the Glass<\/a> analysts for its coverage of the National Hockey league and also the St. Louis Blues. He was the second shortest goalie in league history standing just five foot five. But his weight was listed at 155 pounds.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIf we want to go on the all honesty side of this podcast, I still don\u2019t weigh 155 pounds! I cheated in major junior A during the first weigh in,\u201d<\/em> Pang tells us in the show.<br \/>\n<a id=\"1516011\" href=\"https:\/\/nhlshop.775j.net\/c\/3198695\/1516011\/9674\" target=\"_top\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/a.impactradius-go.com\/display-ad\/9674-1516011\" alt=\"\" width=\"728\" height=\"90\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Pang weighed all of 128 pounds so he stuffed sand weights around his waist and ankles. But he never weighed more than 135 pounds during his 2 year career in the <strong>NHL.<\/strong> So why does size not matter? During his first full season with the Chicago Blackhawks in 1987 Pang finished second in rookie of the year voting! But along came the notorious <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2018\/09\/26\/mike-keenan-using-his-battle-with-prostate-cancer-to-raise-awareness-for-others\/\" target=\"_self\">Mike Keenan<\/a> and Pang\u2019s playing time was done.<\/p>\n<p>So he ventured into the world of media running the Blackhawk\u2019s hotline for a few years. Then came 1993. \u201c<em>I got a call to audition for ESPN and got the job to be an analyst. All my friend were still players in the NHL and it was a real nice transition because I got a lot of insights a lot of people didn\u2019t since I just came out of a locker room.\u201d<\/em><br \/>\n<a id=\"1518046\" href=\"https:\/\/athleticgreens.sjv.io\/c\/3198695\/1518046\/13896\" target=\"_top\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/a.impactradius-go.com\/display-ad\/13896-1518046\" alt=\"\" width=\"728\" height=\"90\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"position: absolute; visibility: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/imp.pxf.io\/i\/3198695\/1518046\/13896\" width=\"0\" height=\"0\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now a days, Pang is flourishing with TNT and the Blues not only during games but on the set. And recently he offered his thoughts on the trade of sure fire hall of famer <strong>Patrick Kane<\/strong> from the Blackhawks to the New York Rangers.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis has to be very difficult for Kane.
