It was definitely more good than bad as Hurts led the Philadelphia Eagles to the upset win over the New Orleans Saints, but the passing still left a lot to be desired. From a fantasy standpoint, however, it was a beautiful debut. Hurts finished as a top-10 option at quarterback this week and it was all due to what he did on the ground. He finished with 18 carries for 106 yards. This week he gets a pace-up matchup against the Arizona Cardinals who are the fastest-paced team in the NFL. This should allow more plays on both sides which leads to more fantasy goodness. As 6.5-point underdogs Hurts and the Eagles should be dropping back more than normal this week. 18 carries shouldn’t be the expectation any week, but it’s certainly a possibility and makes Hurts a great option this week and beyond

Jalen Hurts joins Lamar Jackson as the only QBs in league history to rush for 100+ yards in their first career start.

— Ryan McDowell (@RyanMc23) December 14, 2020

Honorable Mentions – Mitchell Trubisky (CHI – 12%) @ MIN, Philip Rivers (IND – 43%) v HOU

Running Back – Salvon Ahmed (MIA – 18%) v NE

Salvon Ahmed missed last week’s game with a shoulder injury and watched as DeAndre Washington disappointed in the role. Even though he disappointed, he should still be plugged into lineups this week against the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts are a good defense, but they can be passed on. That’s how it played out two weeks ago when the Houston Texans hosted the Colts. Coutee had a big game in that one putting up 25.1 PPR points as he hauled in eight balls for 141 yards. This game has another high O/U and will also be played in a dome, just like the last one. The Texans are also underdogs as well so the game script should be in Coutee’s favor once again.
