How fitting with the holiday season fast approaching that the gift that keeps on giving, Ryan Fitzpatrick, is giving out more fantasy goodness. Last week Fitzpatrick got the nod with Tua Tagovailoa dealing with an injury. As it sits right now, there’s some optimism that Tagovailoa plays but it was also reported he could miss multiple games so there is some uncertainty. If Tagovailoa sits, Fitzpatrick will make a great play again this week against the lowly Cincinnati Bengals. Fitzpatrick posted 19.28 fantasy points last week in a game in which the Miami Dolphins cruised to an easy win over the New York Jets. This week could be a similar floor of points against another bad defense. If Fitzpatrick gets the start again this week, start him with confidence and watch him keep the magic alive.

Ryan Fitzpatrick's weekly fantasy finishes in 7 starts:

32nd
14th
10th
13th
3rd
14th
8th (pending Wednesday Afternoon Football)

— Jared Smola (@SmolaDS) December 1, 2020

Honorable Mentions – Kirk Cousins (MIN – 40%) v JAX, Philip Rivers (IND – 33%) @ HOU

Running Back – Devontae Booker (LV – 10%) @ NYJ

This one, like Fitzpatrick, is entirely dependent upon the injury status of the starter ahead of him. Josh Jacobs left last week’s game with an ankle injury allowing for Devontae Booker to get some extra run. Booker wasn’t able to produce with it but then again neither did Jacobs before getting hurt. There’s some optimism that Jacobs might be able to suit up for this one but he seems to be questionable at best. Last time Booker saw a big workload he produced in a big way. In Week 10 against the Denver Broncos he saw 17 touches and produced 21.30 PPR points. If Jacobs were to sit, Booker should see a similar workload this week. This week’s matchup against the Jets is a good one as well. The Jets allow the seventh-most PPR points to running backs this season and are simply a bad team in general. If Jacobs sits, Booker will make for a nice player to start in a crucial week.

Honorable Mentions – Frank Gore (NYJ – 25%) v LV, Cam Akers (LAR – 30%) @ ARI

Wide Receiver – Denzel Mims (NYJ – 7%) v LV

Before the year Denzel Mims was a buzzy name among many fantasy football analysts. Coming in at 6’3” and 207 pounds and with a 4.38 40-yard dash and 38.5” vertical jump, it’s easy to fall in love with those types of numbers. He landed on the Jets so there were mixed feelings. On one hand, he steps into a situation where he has a chance to become the alpha sooner than later. On the other hand, it’s Adam Gase and the Jets. Mims dealt with injury and missed the first six weeks of the season, but has played solid since. He’s seen at least seven targets in four of the five games he’s played so far and has produced at least 42 yards in all five games. He’s been even better in the last three games with at least 62 yards in all three and double-digit PPR points in all three as well.
