It’s never fun to see a player get hurt, especially a guy like Drew Brees. But, at the same time, fantasy owners have to make adjustments and react when injuries do occur. Anyone who played fantasy football last season remembers the Jameis Winston experience. He was the QB3 overall despite throwing 30 interceptions. Winston was able to do so well because he finished with 5,109 yards and 33 touchdowns. Last season Winston had a pure gunslinger mentality and he threw the rock all over the place. It remains to be seen if he will continue to be as aggressive this time around with the New Orleans Saints, but if so, it is going to be fun from a fantasy standpoint. This week’s matchup is a juicy one against the Atlanta Falcons as well. The Falcons have been better since their coaching change, however, they are allowing the most fantasy points to quarterbacks this year. This game is also in a dome and looks like it could turn into a high scoring affair. Winston just might be a good play in fantasy this week.

Jameis Winston to my fantasy teams this week. pic.twitter.com/nZOWLruTwb

— Dalton Kates (@Dalton_Kates) November 18, 2020

Honorable Mentions – Kirk Cousins (MIN – 36%) vs DAL, Derek Carr (LV – 34%) vs KC

Running Back – Kalen Ballage (LAC – 45%) vs NYJ

Is there anything more 2020 than recommending Kalen Ballage as a good start? After looking like arguably one of the worst running backs of all-time last year and now on his third team this year, Ballage looks like a brand new man. Two weeks ago he stepped up to handle 15 carries and two receptions for 84 total yards and a score. Most fans correctly wrote this off as a blip on the radar. Last week, with Justin Jackson on IR, Troymaine Pope dealing with an injury, and Joshua Kelley continuing to disappoint, Ballage stepped up again. This time he took it to his old team, the Miami Dolphins, to the tune of 102 total yards on 18 carries and five receptions. That is now two straight weeks of 15+ PPR points. This week, another revenge game is on the schedule against the New York Jets. The Jets are laughably bad this season and they and have allowed the seventh-most PPR points to running backs so far this year. That’s what happens when fantasy managers and streamers have to scrape the bottom of the barrel at the tight end position. Thomas has been frustrating this year because many had faith in him early in the season, but he disappointed in a big way. But when everyone hopped off the Logan Thomas bandwagon due to the disappointment he started to produce solid lines again. Ultimately it is hard to ignore the volume he is seeing at a position devoid of volume. Thomas ranks eleventh among all tight ends in total targets this season and hasn’t had a game with less than four targets. He’s also had five games with at least six targets, including six targets in each of his past two games. He’s also scored double-digit PPR points in three of his last four outings. This week he gets to face the Cincinnati Bengals who have a terrible defense in general and have allowed the second most points to tight ends this season.
