There’s plenty of ups and downs throughout the season and week to week. One week your stud could be the stud you expect him to be and the next week he’s a dud. So it goes in fantasy football. Each week there are players that everyone starts that bust and players that nobody starts that blow up. Figuring out which players are which is the tricky part. Let’s take a look at some fantasy football studs and duds for Week 10.

Fantasy Football Studs and Duds for Week 10

Studs

Always lead with the good news. This is the feel-good portion of the article. These are the players you’ll want to lay some money on doing well this weekend. That is unless you’re not into that sort of thing and more of a casino bettor, and in that case, you can find juicy casino offers here. He came out of the gates hot with 10 and 13 targets in the first two weeks of the season and looked well on his way to a big breakout season. That all came to a screeching halt when injury hit in week three. He’s been injured on and off ever since. When Johnson’s been healthy though, he’s been awesome. In all four games he’s played from start to finish, he’s seen double-digit targets. The Cincinnati Bengals defense he gets to face this weekend hasn’t been able to stop a nosebleed this season. To add injury to insult, they are down to only three healthy cornerbacks, none of which can hang with Johnson. As long as Johnson stays healthy for the entire game, he should produce in a big way and be a fantasy football stud this week.

Honorable Mentions: Duke Johnson (HOU – 67%) @ CLE, Tyler Boyd (CIN – 57%) @ PIT

Steelers' Diontae Johnson leads ALL wide receivers in forced missed tackles since 2019 with 21. 😤pic.twitter.com/wXtBjW4Qdj

— PFF (@PFF) September 24, 2020

Duds

This is the bad news portion of the article. This is where you’ll find the players that will severely underperform this weekend. These players are liable to score you single-digit points in a PPR league. To qualify for the “duds” section, a player must be started in at least 70% of Yahoo leagues.

Adam Thielen (MIN – 84% Started) @ CHI

Adam Thielen has had a very good year this year, make no mistake. He’s currently the WR17 in PPR points per game despite two straight bad weeks. Speaking of those bad weeks, they’ve directly coincided with Dalvin Cook monster weeks. That’s the biggest issue for Thielen: volume. The Minnesota Vikings want to be a run-first team in which they feed Cook as much as he can handle. That doesn’t bode well for Thielen’s fantasy prospects. He’s had four games this season with five or fewer targets and three games with seven or fewer PPR points. This week’s matchup against the Chicago Bears doesn’t look great. The Bears have been stingy against opposing wide receivers allowing the third-fewest fantasy points to the position. This sets up as a game in which the Vikings look to lean on Cook and win a close one. If that turns out to be the game script, Thielen could be a fantasy football dud this week.

Dishonorable Mentions: DJ Moore (CAR – 70%) v TB, Mark Andrews (BAL – 77%) @ NE

Main photo:
Embed from Getty Images

Fantasy Football Studs and Duds; Fantasy football is a rollercoaster.
