Looking around the league shows that defenses like the Washington Football Team and Arizona Cardinals offer the best chance of positive performance in the coming weeks.

Note that, in order to be eligible for this list, the defenses needed to have a realistic shot of actually being available. Obviously, there is some variation from league to league, so make sure to peruse all available defenses before making your claims. There could be a better option available in your specific league.

Week 9 Waiver Wire Claims: Running Back – Wide Receiver – Quarterback – Defense

Washington Football Team, Arizona Cardinals Highlight Fantasy Football Week 9 Defense Waiver Wire Streams

Washington Football Team

Contrary to popular belief, the Washington Football Team actually has a good defense. The NFC East contenders have a solid front seven that can apply pressure at a respectable rate and a secondary that doesn’t get torched on every single snap. While this unit obviously isn’t the 1985 Chicago Bears, they are good enough to stream in the right matchup.

Week 9 offers that matchup, as the Football Team goes head to head against the New York Giants. Daniel Jones is a streaky quarterback and doesn’t have the supporting cast to complement his wild style of play. The 2019 first-round pick holds on to the ball far too long and loves to throw the ball to the other team. Look for Washington to accumulate sacks and turnovers while limiting points in this one.

Arizona Cardinals

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa did not look good in his first NFL start. The Alabama product completed just 12 of his 22 passes for 93 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions. However, despite not turning the ball over, he did throw several passes that could have gone the other way. Tagovailoa is obviously a talented passer, but he might not be ready for NFL stardom. Because of this, the Arizona Cardinals could become a favorable stream against a quarterback that didn’t look ready for starting duties in the NFL.

Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons are not a good defense. However, if you’re streaming a defense, you might have the luxury of finding a good one. The Falcons face off against Drew Lock and a wildly-inconsistent Denver Broncos offense. Lock and company had a good game last week, but the majority of their positive moments came in a last-ditch comeback against a team notorious for folding in those types of moments.

Overall, Lock is still a flawed passer that puts the ball in harms’ way at a frequent rate. The offensive line leaves a lot to be desired, so Atlanta has a decent shot of coming away with a few sacks and a couple of turnovers.

New York Giants

Washington Football Team quarterback Kyle Allen has played relatively well since taking over for Dwayne Haskins. However, he’s still Kyle Allen, which means that any defense he plays against is a worthy fantasy football stream candidate. Allen is a fine backup, but his inability to take care of the football is a major problem. Washington doesn’t have too many playmakers, and the Giants should be able to keep this as a low-scoring affair while coming away with a few sacks and a turnover or two.

Week 9 Waiver Wire Claims: Running Back – Wide Receiver – Quarterback – Defense

Main photo:
Embed from Getty Images

Fantasy Football Week 9 Defense Waiver Wire Streams: Arizona Cardinals, Washington Football Team, Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants

[59
4688,4069,4528,294,4799,40,4443
post-97160","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-fantasy","tag-daniel-jones","tag-drew-lock","tag-dwayne-haskins","tag-fantasy-football","tag-kyle-allen","tag-nfl","tag-tua-tagovailoa
["GET
