Looking around the league shows that players like Mike Williams and Corey Davis offer the best chance of positive performance in the coming weeks.

Note that, in order to be eligible for this list, the player needed to be available in at least 50% of fantasy leagues. Obviously, there is some variation from league to league, so make sure to peruse all available players before making your claims. There could be a better option available in your specific league.

Week 9 Waiver Wire Claims: Running Back – Wide Receiver – Quarterback – Defense

Mike Williams, Corey Davis Highlight Fantasy Football Week 9 Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups

Mike Williams

Somehow, Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams is still available in 55% of ESPN fantasy leagues. This makes him just eligible for this list and a must-grab in just about any format. Justin Herbert is playing like a top-10 quarterback with both the talent and volume to support multiple fantasy-relevant receivers. Williams isn’t going to usurp Keenan Allen any time soon, but he should be a great play for the remainder of the season.

Last week, Williams led the Chargers with five receptions for 99 yards and one touchdown on eight targets. He’s clearly the second-best option in this offense, and that option carries a lot of weight when Justin Herbert is your quarterback. He should be able to give flex-level production for the remainder of the season.

Corey Davis

Corey Davis is not a sexy pickup, but he simply cannot be ignored any longer. The former first-round pick had another great game in Week 8, recording eight receptions for 128 yards and a touchdown on a team-high 10 targets. This is far from a one-week fluke, as Davis has been fantastic just about every time he steps on the field.

Throughout the offseason, everyone was trying to figure out who would be the 2020 version of DeVante Parker. After eight weeks of action, it’s safe to say that it is Corey Davis. Davis is playing some fantastic football and should continue to eat as long as he’s in Tennessee. It’s hard to imagine the Titans trading him, as they’re in the thick of the playoff race and they need Davis to be their reliable WR2. Davis is still widely available and should have value throughout the remainder of the season.

Jakobi Meyers

2019 undrafted free agent Jakobi Meyers is clearly the best receiver on the New England Patriots. With Julian Edelman and N’Keal Harry sidelined, Meyers finally had his chance to win a starting spot on the field. He stepped up to the challenge, recording six receptions for 58 yards on 10 targets. One week earlier, Meyers recorded four receptions for 60 yards while replacing an injured Harry.

Meyers only saw the field because of injury, but his opportunity shouldn’t be going anywhere. Edelman is on the short-term injured reserve, and Harry couldn’t even practice leading up to Week 8. Even when both players come back, Meyers looks like a much better option. New England’s underwhelming pass offense limits his ceiling, but he’s a great target in deep leagues.

Marvin Hall

Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay suffered a hip injury in Week 8 and did not return to the field. As of this posting, nobody knows the severity of the ailment. However, should Golladay miss time, wide receiver Marvin Hall should be a great pickup. With Golladay sidelined, Hall recorded four receptions for 113 yards on seven targets.

Hall is a fantastic deep threat that only needs one or two plays to have a big day. Earlier in the year, Quintez Cephus saw most of the playing time when Golladay couldn’t go. However, Hall appears to have usurped Cephus on the depth chart and should the guy to own until Golladay returns.

Week 9 Waiver Wire Claims: Running Back – Wide Receiver – Quarterback – Defense

Main photo:
Embed from Getty Images

Fantasy Football Week 9 Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups: Mike Williams, Corey Davis, Marvin Hall, Jakobi Meyers top list.

[59
367,1682,4291,294,61,5138,666,5579,1957,4220,1670,4195,40
post-97152","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-fantasy","tag-cam-newton","tag-corey-davis","tag-devante-parker","tag-fantasy-football","tag-football","tag-jakobi-meyers","tag-julian-edelman","tag-justin-herbert","tag-kenny-golladay","tag-marvin-hall","tag-mike-williams","tag-nkeal-harry","tag-nfl
["GET
