Whether this is due to the matchup or because of their unexpected lack of involvement, these situations tend to make fantasy managers wary going forward. While it is understood that no one is benching <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MetcDK00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">D.K. Metcalf<\/a> <\/strong>and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/K\/KelcTr00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Travis Kelce<\/a> <\/strong>after having less than ideal fantasy performances in Week 7, there are some others that you may be on the fence about due to their poor showings. Here are a handful of Week 8 fantasy football bounce back players that you <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">won\u2019t <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">have to worry about and can fire up with confidence in your starting lineup.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Fantasy Football Week 8 Bounce Back Candidates<\/h2>\n<h3><b>Quarterback: <\/b><b><i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GaroJi00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jimmy Garoppolo<\/a>, San Francisco 49ers<\/i><\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not only is Jimmy Garoppolo barely rostered in a third of fantasy leagues, but his poor-to-mediocre performances don\u2019t boast well for this argument. But after a few decent games before an injury that appeared to have lingering effects as he came back in Week 5, he had a solid 268 yard, three touchdown performance in Week 6 against a tough <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/nfl-teams\/rams\/\" target=\"_self\">Los Angeles Rams<\/a> pass defense. But the defending NFC championship quarterback took a step back last week as the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/nfl-teams\/49ers\/\" target=\"_self\">San Francisco 49ers<\/a> took a big (and early) lead through their dominant running attack which led to a negative passing game script for most of this one.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With all of their <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/teams\/SF\/san-francisco-49ers\/injuries\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">injuries on both sides of the ball this season<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, San Francisco has still managed to win some tough football games. To gain a victory in this week\u2019s highly-anticipated matchup with their division rival<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/nfl-teams\/seahawks\/\" target=\"_self\"> Seattle Seahawks<\/a>, expect the 49ers to put the ball in Jimmy G\u2019s hands. We all know what <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WilsRu00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Russell Wilson<\/a> has been doing over in Seattle through the air; look for head coach <strong>Kyle Shanahan<\/strong> to find ways for Garoppolo to utilize the pass game in a variety of ways as San Francisco looks to take it to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/stats\/team\/_\/view\/defense\/table\/passing\/sort\/netPassingYards\/dir\/asc\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seattle\u2019s second-worst ranked passing defense<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on Sunday afternoon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Running Back: <\/b><b><i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JacoJo01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Josh Jacobs<\/a>, Las Vegas Raiders<\/i><\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Josh Jacobs has been the epitome of and up-and-down performer in the first half of the season. After exploding into 2020 with three rushing touchdowns in Week 1, his numbers dipped severely during the next few games before salvaging his Week 5 performance with two fourth-quarter touchdowns. After the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/nfl-teams\/raiders\/\" target=\"_self\">Las Vegas Raiders<\/a> Week 6 bye, Jacobs was shut down, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/nfl\/2020\/10\/29\/raiders-rb-josh-jacobs-calls-latest-game-embarrassing\/114525422\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">calling his performance \u2018embarrassing\u2019<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, versus a dominant <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/nfl-teams\/buccaneers\/\" target=\"_self\">Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a> team last week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even with a tough matchup this week against a top ten <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/nfl-teams\/buccaneers\/\" target=\"_self\">Cleveland Browns<\/a> run defense, expect both offenses to be firing the ball down the field while feeding their talented, workhorse backs (Cleveland with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/H\/HuntKa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Kareem Hunt<\/strong><\/a>) the ball early and often. In his first three games played, he scored a touchdown in each and amassed 284 yards on 18 catches. A lot of the narrative surrounding Fulgham going forward has been about his ability to continue to produce once some of the Eagles weapons return to the lineup. With <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JackDe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>DeSean Jackson<\/strong><\/a> returning in Week 7 (only to leave again in the second half with an ankle injury), Fulgham had his worst outing of his young career, notching just 73 yards on five catches.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, what these numbers don\u2019t reveal is Fulgham\u2019s consistency and trust that quarterback <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WentCa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Carson Wentz<\/strong><\/a> has seemed to have found with him (he still was targeted 11 times in that Week 7 matchup). Even with the possibility of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JeffAl00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alshon Jeffery<\/a> <\/strong>and <strong>Jalen Reagor<\/strong> returning for this week\u2019s enticing matchup with the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/nfl-teams\/cowboys\/\" target=\"_self\">Dallas Cowboys<\/a> on Sunday night, expect the receiver who is <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fantasy.nfl.com\/research\/scoringleaders?position=1#researchScoringLeaders=researchScoringLeaders%2C%2Fresearch%2Fscoringleaders%253Fposition%253D3%2526sort%253Dpts%2526statCategory%253Dstats%2526statSeason%253D2020%2526statType%253DfourWeekStats%2Creplace\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">second in non-quarterback fantasy points per game over the last four weeks<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to bounce back against Dallas\u2019s atrocious defense that is <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamrankings.com\/nfl\/stat\/opponent-points-per-game\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">allowing a league-worst 34.7 points per game<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Travis Fulgham: 90.3 PFF Grade <\/p>\n<p>2nd highest-grade among all WRs <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Nd2iVoyuyq\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pic.twitter.com\/Nd2iVoyuyq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; PFF (@PFF) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PFF\/status\/1319398632186142721?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">October 22, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h3><b>Tight End: <\/b><b><i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/SmitJo01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jonnu Smith<\/a>, Tennessee Titans<\/i><\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What a breakout year Jonnu Smith has been having. After hauling in five touchdowns in his first four games despite all of the shuffling of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/nfl-teams\/titans\/\" target=\"_self\">Tennessee Titans<\/a> roster due to the influx of COVID-19 cases that struck many members of the team, Smith has established himself as a viable TE1 on an explosive Titans offense. After leaving in Week 6 with an ankle injury after only recording one catch for 13 yards, he caught just one ball for nine measly yards last week against one of the top defenses in the league of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/nfl-teams\/steelers\/\" target=\"_self\">Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even after coming off these two bad weeks, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fantasypros.com\/nfl\/stats\/te.php?league=3591138&amp;range=full\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Smith is only behind Travis Kelce and <\/span><\/a><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/K\/KittGe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">George Kittle<\/a><\/strong> at the tight end position in targets and receptions<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and has more touchdowns than the latter.
