The Baltimore Ravens<\/a> are one of the best teams in the league and are definitely contending for a Super Bowl championship this season. The Ravens have addressed their need for a pass rusher by trading for Pro Bowl defensive end Yannick Ngakoue<\/a><\/strong>. However, the Ravens still have a gaping hole at the wide receiver position.<\/p>\n

With Trade Deadline Quickly Approaching, the Baltimore Ravens Are in Desperate Need of a Receiver<\/h2>\n

The Baltimore Ravens signed former All-Pro and Pro Bowl wide receiver Dez Bryant<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>on Wednesday. Though he could make an impact, Bryant has not played a game of NFL football in four years. The Ravens’ need at the wide receiver position is still very evident. Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta is known<\/strong> to be very aggressive at the trade deadline. Last season, he traded for All-Pro cornerback Marcus Peters<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>at the trade deadline, and Peters has been a major contributor to the Ravens’ elite defense. This season he has already made a major move, trading for Yannick Ngakoue as mentioned above. What moves should Eric DeCosta make before the trade deadline? Here are some receivers who could help the Ravens’ struggling offense to a Lombardi Trophy.<\/p>\n

Jamison Crowder<\/a>, New York Jets<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Jets are obviously a very bad team this season. They will be looking to get as much draft capital as possible to begin their rebuild with the 2021 off-season. The Ravens could look to take advantage of this by trading for Jamison Crowder, who is a solid possession slot receiver who can get the job done for the Ravens.<\/p>\n

Curtis Samuel<\/a><\/strong>, Carolina Panthers<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Panthers are not an elite team by any means, but their receiving corps is definitely elite. With names like D.J. Moore<\/a><\/strong> and Robby Anderson<\/a><\/strong>, their receiving corps is set, so looking to move Curtis Samuel, who is just what the Ravens need, would not be such a bad move for the Panthers.<\/p>\n

Julian Edelman<\/a><\/strong>, New England Patriots<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Patriots have openly stated that they are willing to hear trade offers for any players. The Ravens may look to exploit this by trading for Julian Edelman, who is a former Super Bowl MVP. Edelman is a great possession receiver, exactly what the Ravens’ offense lacks. Though his career is winding down, bringing in a player who has already won several Super Bowls with the Patriots would not be a bad idea.<\/p>\n

Russell Gage<\/a><\/strong>, Atlanta Falcons<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Falcons are in a situation similar to the Panthers, where they are not a great team overall but have an elite receiving corps. Gage has a very cheap contract which helps with the Ravens’ lack of cap room, and the Falcons could be looking to gain some draft capital to improve their weak roster. Trading for Russell Gage would not be a bad move for the Ravens at all.<\/p>\n

Golden Tate<\/a>, New York Giants<\/a><\/h3>\n

Frankly, the Giants are a very bad team. They are in desperate need of a rebuild, and Golden Tate is taking up cap room that they could use for future players. Tate is a great player that could fit right in the Ravens’ offense and could be a great help to them as they contend for a Super Bowl.<\/p>\n
