It was a truly gruesome, heart-wrenching scene. Dak has been such a great player on the field and an even better person off the field. With Dak hurt, Andy Dalton is thrust back into our fantasy football lives. Dalton was always a competent quarterback, albeit nothing special. He steps into one of the highest-scoring, fastest-paced offenses in the league with a ton of weapons to work with. This situation should yield some fantasy goodness for Dalton. That could start in his first week as a starter as the Cowboys take on another fast-paced offense when Kyler Murray and the Cardinals come to town. This has allowed him to score at least 8.2 PPR points in the past three games. In the last two games, he’s been even more involved seeing eight targets in each one. He should continue to see a solid role in the passing game and the Giants are not a good defense whatsoever. Wide receivers generally aren’t held as stashes or handcuffs, but Hardman is a bit different. He’s been unbelievably efficient to this point in his short career, albeit on limited snaps and touches. That’s all set to change with Sammy Watkins nursing an injury. Hardman’s snap count and target share had already been trending in the right direction even before Watkins got hurt. Last year when Watkins missed due to injury, Hardman saw a spike in snaps and targets as well and I think we can expect more of the same this time around. This matchup might look tough at first glance, but diving in more it looks great. The Bills are a team that can possibly keep up with Kansas City which should help the Chiefs keep their foot on the gas. If Tre’Davious White plays, he could end up seeing a lot of Tyreek Hill. The Bills have been hit-or-miss against the tight end as well. They’ve been beaten in the slot a good amount and Hardman has run 58% of his routes from the slot so far in 2020. Chasing anyone with a pulse that’s getting targets is what we have to do at this point. Jimmy G is currently tied for the ninth most targets among all tight ends with 28 so far. He’s seen at least five targets in every game but one so far. He’s also been able to produce double-digit PPR points in three out of five games as well.
