Two weeks of NFL action are officially in the books, but this didn\u2019t come without a good amount of injuries. Seemingly every team lost at least one important playmaker, which means the quarterback\u00a0waiver wire should be busier than ever. Looking around the league shows that players like Ryan Tannehill<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and Gardner Minshew<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0offer the best chance of positive performance moving forward.<\/p>\n

Week 3 Waiver Pickups: Running Back<\/a> – Wide Receiver<\/a> – Tight End<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Ryan Tannehill, Gardner Minshew Highlight Fantasy Football Week 3 Quarterback Waiver Wire Streams<\/h2>\n

Ryan Tannehill<\/h3>\n

Tannehill was magic last year, but everyone expected him to come back to Earth in 2020. After all, there was a long period of time in Miami where he never developed into anything more than a \u2018fine\u2019 starter. After two weeks, however, it looks like regression won\u2019t hit. Tennessee\u2019s quarterback played out of his mind last week, recording 239 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions on 24 passing attempts. He did this without A.J. Brown<\/a><\/strong> around and should be a solid starter all season long.<\/p>\n

Gardner Minshew<\/h3>\n

The Jacksonville Jaguars won\u2019t tank as long as Gardner Minshew is at the wheel. The former sixth-round pick is silencing all the doubters, most recently throwing for 339 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions while adding an additional 19 yards on the ground. Minshew is able to go blow-for-blow with opposing quarterbacks in a shootout, and Jacksonville\u2019s terrible defense ensures that every game will be a shootout. He\u2019s one of the safer plays around and is a great streaming candidate moving forward.<\/p>\n

Mitchell Trubisky<\/h3>\n

Playing Mitchell Trubisky<\/a><\/strong> is like taking cold medicine. You feel sick before and after, it doesn\u2019t feel good, but it\u2019s something that ultimately can help you in the right situation. Chicago\u2019s quarterback had another serviceable outing last week, recording 190 passing yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions to go along with 16 yards on the ground. This type of outing, while obviously not great, is the type of performance that you can deal with if you\u2019re in a pinch. He has a decent shot of putting up another one of these outings in Week 3 against an absolutely atrocious Atlanta Falcons defense.<\/p>\n

Nick Mullens Without Jimmy Garoppolo<\/h3>\n

Jimmy Garoppolo<\/a><\/strong> suffered an ankle injury and couldn\u2019t finish Week 2\u2019s contest against the New York Jets. As of this posting, we don\u2019t know the exact severity of the ailment. However, if he misses time, fantasy owners can turn to Nick Mullens<\/a><\/strong> in a pinch. The former undrafted free agent actually has some experience under center, earning a few spot starts back in 2018. While he\u2019s obviously not the second-coming of Joe Montana<\/a><\/strong>, he\u2019s a perfectly competent quarterback that can thrive under an offensive genius in Kyle Shanahan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Mullens didn\u2019t do much in Week 2, but that\u2019s only because the game was already out of hand by the time Garoppolo suffered his injury. That shouldn\u2019t be the case in Week 3, as the banged-up 49ers face off against a New York Giants team that can move the ball through the air. They also can\u2019t stop the ball through the air, so Mullens should be able to take advantage of what very well could be the worst secondary in football.<\/p>\n
