The cut to 53 is right around the corner, so let\u2019s see who has the best shot of making the initial roster.<\/p>\n<h2>New England Patriots Roster Projection 4.0: Final Prediction<\/h2>\n<h4>Quarterback (3)<\/h4>\n<p><em>In: Cam Newton, Jarrett Stidham, Brian Hoyer<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The most one-sided quarterback battle in recent memory officially draws to a close, as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=NewtCa00,NewtCa20&amp;search=Cam+Newton&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cam Newton<\/a><\/strong> is primed to start in Week 1. He\u2019s finally healthy and could provide valuable depth along the defensive line.<\/p>\n<h4>Linebacker (5)<\/h4>\n<p><em>In: Ja\u2019Whaun Bentley, Josh Uche, Anfernee Jennings, Brandon Copeland, Cassh Maluia<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The difference between linebacker and defensive line can be a little unclear, especially with a <strong>Bill Belichick<\/strong> defense. He\u2019s smaller than your traditional inside linebacker, but knows how to play the run and is a solid early-down player.
