While each rookie will have their chance to compete, some players have a clearer path to stardom than others. Whether it’s need at the position, individual talent, or a combination of both, these are the Cowboys rookies that should be able to contribute right out of the gate.

Dallas Cowboys Rookies: Potential 2020 Impact

Trevon Diggs, CB

CeeDee Lamb is the best player in the Cowboys draft class, but Trevon Diggs has the best shot of making an immediate impact. After losing Byron Jones in free agency, the Cowboys need somebody to step up at cornerback. Trevon Diggs has the skill to be that guy, as many projected him to go off the board in the first round. He might be a little rough out of the gate (it’s hard to play cornerback as a rookie), but he should adjust over time and turn into an above-average starter.

CeeDee Lamb, WR

CeeDee Lamb is going to be a superstar, and having him as the third option in the passing attack is just unfair to opposing defenses. Arguably the best receiver in the class, Lamb knows how to get open against any coverage and is an absolute monster after the catch. With defenses focused on Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, Lamb should be able to do damage right out of the gate. Good luck slowing down this passing attack.

Neville Gallimore, DT

Neville Gallimore is a raw prospect, but his ceiling is through the roof. Based on talent and talent alone, Gallimore has the ability to develop into one of the better interior defenders in the league. While nobody will confuse him with Aaron Donald, he has a chance to be an interior threat against the run and the pass. He’ll need some time to refine his technique, but he should be able to contribute situationally as a rookie.

Tyler Biadasz, IOL

Most fourth-round picks aren’t ready to start right out of the gate, but Tyler Biadasz could be the exception to the rule. The Wisconsin product doesn’t possess superstar upside, but he has the strength and foot speed to be a solid starter at the next level. With Travis Frederick retired, Biadasz could challenge for the starting job if he performs well in the offseason.

Bradlee Anae, EDGE

How on Earth did the Cowboys get Bradlee Anae in the fifth round? The Utah product possesses a great first step with the ability to speed around offensive tackles. While he leaves something to be desired against the run, Anae should start his career as a productive situational pass rusher. If he can add strength between now and the start of the season, he could even earn a starting job, although that’s admittedly a long shot.

Reggie Robinson, CB

Reggie Robinson fits a position of need, but he’s not quite as good as the aforementioned players on this list. While he has the ideal build for the position, he’s a little too slow to offer that much upside. He could be successful as a depth cornerback, but his lack of speed might force him to play safety at the professional level.

Ben DiNicci, QB

Ben DiNicci probably won’t make the team. The seventh-round pick had a chance to beat out Cooper Rush for the backup job, but there’s no way he’ll beat out Andy Dalton. If DiNicci spends any time under center in 2020, something has gone horribly, horribly wrong for the Dallas Cowboys.

Main photo:
Embed from Getty Images

Ranking Dallas Cowboys Rookies by Potential 2020 Impact: Which members of the Dallas Cowboys draft class can contribute right out of the gate?

[19,54
5273,7104,6085,5801,7590,6065,6534,5267,6577
post-87502","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-cowboys","category-editorials","tag-2020-nfl-draft","tag-ben-dinucci","tag-bradlee-anae","tag-ceedee-lamb","tag-dallas-cowboys-draft","tag-neville-gallimore","tag-reggie-robinson","tag-trevon-diggs","tag-tyler-biadasz
["GET
