Berry has been a staple of the Chiefs defense since he was drafted in 2010. For proof that the former Tennessee Volunteer deserves this honor, just watch the Atlanta Falcons game. Eric Berry had a pick six and a pick two, scoring eight points by himself and allowing the Chiefs to leave Atlanta with a win. Just a few weeks before, the Atlanta native had a pick six against Carolina as well. All three of his interceptions this year he’s scored on.

Marcus Peters

The 2015 Defensive Rookie of the Year Award winner decided to give a similar performance in 2016. Peters has locked down his side of the field well. Some quarterbacks have even gone so far to rarely throw to his side in fear that Peters might intercept it. The former Washington Husky has intercepted five passes this year so far and at one time led the NFL in that stat. He’s currently tied for second as of right now. This is impressive considering his last interception was in week six. Since then the most passes he has defended was against the Carolina Panthers with four. Peters would make the Panthers pay too by stripping Kelvin Benjamin of the ball. This would put the Chiefs in field goal range to win the game.

Travis Kelce

Travis Kelce made the Pro Bowl in 2015 and will be repeating this year. Kelce is currently at 957 yards receiving on the season. This places the reality TV star as second out of all tight ends in receiving yards behind only Greg Olsen. With two more games left it’s likely that the former Cincinnati Bearcat will hit the 1,000-yard receiving mark for the first time in his career. Kelce still has a long way to go playing in the shadow of another great tight end in Tony Gonzalez. He is doing a remarkable job so far though.

Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill has burst onto the scene for the Chiefs since being selected in the 2016 draft. His 4.25 40-yard dash time is hard to beat. He has a troublesome past but a promising future. If he stays out of trouble, who knows what is in store for him. The speedy receiver currently has ten touchdowns on the season. The next closest player on the team has five. One sign that he is doing something right is tying records that were set by Gale Sayers. The Chiefs continue to find ways to get him the ball and he rewards them with that.

Snubs

No Chiefs player was really snubbed this season. Dee Ford was making a strong case for a while but has since dropped off. Derrick Johnson was having a solid year but recently tore his Achilles.
