{"id":85893,"date":"2020-04-20T08:06:45","date_gmt":"2020-04-20T12:06:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/?p=85893"},"modified":"2021-03-18T19:03:45","modified_gmt":"2021-03-18T23:03:45","slug":"nick-coe-2020-nfl-draft-profile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2020\/04\/20\/nick-coe-2020-nfl-draft-profile\/","title":{"rendered":"Nick Coe 2020 NFL Draft Profile"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Nick Coe Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Position:\u00a0<\/strong>EDGE<br \/>\n<strong>Height:\u00a0<\/strong>6\u20195\u201d<br \/>\n<strong>Weight: <\/strong>291 pounds<br \/>\n<strong>School:\u00a0<\/strong>Auburn<\/p>\n<p><strong>NFL Combine Testing Data<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>40-Yard Dash:\u00a0<\/strong>4.89 seconds (unofficial)<br \/>\n<strong>Bench Press: <\/strong>21\u00a0reps<br \/>\n<strong>Vertical Jump:\u00a0<\/strong>29\u201d<br \/>\n<strong>Broad Jump:\u00a0<\/strong>116.0\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Nick Coe 2020 NFL Draft Profile<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Nick Coe<\/strong> had one of the most confusing careers in Auburn in recent memory.\u00a0 Coe redshirted his first year on a defensive line that had <strong>Derrick Brown<\/strong> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/L\/LawsCa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Carl Lawson<\/strong><\/a> starting.\u00a0 As a result of Lawson declaring himself for the NFL Draft, Coe was presented with a path to consistent snaps on the field for the Tigers.\u00a0 In his freshman season, Coe played in 14 games primarily as a backup player.\u00a0 His play earned him a spot on the SEC All-Freshman team.\u00a0 Coe&#8217;s sophomore season is where his play improves the most starting in 10 of 11 games.\u00a0 Over the course of the year, he accumulated 13.5 TFL, seven sacks, and two forced fumbles.\u00a0 Unfortunately for Coe, a wrist injury that required him to have surgery forced him to miss the final two games of the season.<\/p>\n<p>After the surgery, Coe&#8217;s career at Auburn took a turn for the worse.\u00a0 Entering his RS junior season, Coe lost his starting spot and became a rotational player.\u00a0 Consequently, he did not have the same impact on the field accumulating only 15 total tackles, three TFL, and zero sacks.\u00a0 Coe started one out of the 11 games he participated in.
