The senior performed well against the potential No.2 overall pick by not allowing a single sack. Coming out of high school, Anchrum was rated as the 39th best guard in the nation by ESPN. He received first-team all-state honors by the Atlanta Constitution. He also received all-district honors. Anchrum committed to Clemson over Nebraska and Colorado. He also played against future teammate Mitch Hyatt in high school.

College

Anchrum played in 11 games during his freshman season. As a captain, he enabled Clemson to gain 600 yards of offense vs. No. 22 Virginia en route to a fifth straight ACC Championship. He played 68 snaps as Clemson produced the fifth-largest comeback in school history, overcoming a 16-0 deficit in a Fiesta Bowl win vs. No. 2 Ohio State. He played 71 snaps in a loss to No. 1 LSU in the national championship. He has a high range of abilities that can translate to the NFL. He has a knack for performing well against best pass rushers in college football. His resume will certainly help give him an advantage in the pros. He comes off the line at a high rate of speed and his first step will help him disguise his size disadvantage against bigger linemen. His footwork will certainly help him maintain proper balance.

Anchrum’s size, however, may discourage teams from playing tackle and only use him as a guard. That is a position that he is not used to playing, which results in having to be coached the technique. His consistency will need to be fixed if he wants to become a long term starter and potential Pro-Bowl player.

Main photo:
Embed from Getty Images

Tremayne Anchrum Overview Position: Offensive Guard Height: 6’2” Weight: 314 pounds School: Clemson NFL Combine Performance Data 40-Yard Dash: 5.21 seconds Bench Press: 26 reps Vertical Jump: 24.5 inches Broad Jump: 104 inches Tremayne Anchrum 2020 NFL Draft Profile Clemson offensive guard Tremayne Anchrum gained national attention in this year’s Fiesta Bowl against Ohio State […]

[36,10,15,14,4,20,1647,31,29
1173,6490
post-85587","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-news","category-ravens","category-broncos","category-texans","category-dolphins","category-giants","category-nfl-draft","category-49ers","category-buccaneers","tag-nfl-draft","tag-tremayne-anchrum
["GET
