Position: <\/b>Offensive tackle NFL Combine Performance Data<\/b><\/p>\n 40 Yard Dash: <\/b>5.32 seconds<\/span> As a senior for New York\u2019s Poly Prep High School, Wilson generated massive amounts of hype given his combination of size and athleticism. Wilson\u2019s five-star recruitment status and number one prospect ranking throughout the state of New York earned him offers from schools such as Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, and Nebraska before choosing Georgia.<\/span><\/p>\n Wilson elected to redshirt his 2017 season and as a 2018 redshirt freshman, he started in all 14 games for the Bulldogs at right tackle. Additionally, Wilson earned a spot on the Freshman All-SEC team for his 2018 performance. Wilson put together another solid season in 2019 as he played in all 11 of Georgia\u2019s games and earned All-SEC Second Team<\/a> honors. Wilson\u2019s decision to go pro surprised many as he likely would have been a high draft pick in next year’s class. However, while Wilson does not possess the natural athleticism of an NFL left tackle, his natural power and strength cannot be overlooked. Wilson is a mauler in the run game with an impressive frame and enough athleticism to develop his pass protection skills. Improved footwork, consistent hand strikes, and possibly shedding some extra weight would help make up for Wilson\u2019s lack of natural top end athleticism. Although he carries his weight well, there are some questions as to whether or not that he will struggle to keep extra pounds off his frame.
