Raekwon Davis Overview<\/b><\/p>\n
Position: <\/b>Defensive line NFL Combine Performance Data<\/b><\/p>\n 40 Yard Dash: <\/b>5.12 seconds<\/span> While playing for Mississippi\u2019s Meridian High School, Davis became one of the Nation\u2019s top defensive tackle recruits. Davis\u2019 impressive senior season in which he tallied 55 tackles along with 8.5 sacks earned him a playing spot in the Army All-American Bowl as well as solidified his four-star status. Davis received numerous high profile offers from schools such as Miami, Georgia, Florida State, LSU, and Florida before choosing to play for Alabama.<\/span><\/p>\n As a true freshman in 2016, Davis saw immediate playing time and appeared in seven games for the Tide. However, as a 2017 sophomore Davis burst onto the scene in a huge way for Alabama and finished the year with 69 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and earning First Team All-SEC honors. Davis Followed up his performance with a strong junior season in which he totaled 55 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and earned Second Team All-SEC honors. However, his production has fallen off over the course of his last two seasons with no clear reason as to why. Davis has shown an ability to defend the run and plug gaps at an elite level while also showing flashes of his potential as a pass rusher. Teams will most likely have extremely varying draft grades on Davis as he has the talent and potential of a high round draft pick, but the production of a late rounder.
