The Broncos made some interesting signings and trades during the free agency period that helped fill some big holes on their roster and look to fill the rest of their holes in the 2020 NFL Draft. This mock draft was completed using the Draft Network’s Mock Draft Simulator so it is safe to say that most of these players should be available at the time that they are chosen in this mock draft. This Denver Broncos Seven-Round Mock Draft will address the rest of the Broncos needs and will hopefully be similar to the actual draft for Denver.

Denver Broncos Seven-Round Mock Draft

First Round (15th overall) – Jerry Jeudy, Wide Receiver, Alabama

Denver hopes that one of the top three wide receivers Ceedee Lamb, Jerry Jeudy, or Henry Ruggs falls to them at the 15th pick because this is clearly their biggest team need. Courtland Sutton is a clear number one wide receiver but after him there isn’t much to work with on Denver’s roster. Jeudy is a great prospect with good speed and excellent route-running abilities that will make him an impact player immediately for whichever team drafts him.

Jerry Jeudy NFL Draft Profile

Second Round (46th Overall) – Austin Jackson, Offensive Tackle, USC

The Broncos hopefully address the team’s second-biggest need by drafting an offensive tackle to replace Garett Bolles, who has been nothing more than a major disappointment. Austin Jackson has great potential to be a star at the left tackle position and is one of the most physically gifted offensive lineman in this draft. He is young and inconsistent at times but with Mike Munchak‘s help, he could potentially be a great fit for Denver.

Third Round (77th Overall) – Ashytn Davis, Safety, California

Denver has two great starting safeties in Justin Simmons and Kareem Jackson but with Jackson going to be 32 years old this season it could be important for the Broncos to draft his replacement. The Broncos can do similar to what they did in 2017 with Simmons and T.J. Ward and have Ashytn Davis play behind Jackson for a year and then release Jackson at the end of the 2020 season. Davis has incredible speed being a college track athlete and could even possibly play cornerback if need be.

Third Round (83rd Overall) – Bryce Hall, Cornerback, Virginia

Bryce Hall is an interesting prospect with the size and length to be a starting cornerback in the NFL. The Broncos have some depth issues at cornerback after A.J. Bouye and Bryce Callahan. Vic Fangio is a big proponent of using the nickel formation so a strong third corner is a necessity for this defense.

Third Round (95th Overall) – Van Jefferson, Wide Receiver, Florida

As I stated earlier the Broncos absolutely need more help at wide receiver and one more won’t be enough so Denver looks to add another one here. Van Jefferson could be an immediate impact player for the Broncos and potentially slip into the position of being the third receiver on the team. Jefferson has good hands, speed, and size that will most likely have him running out of the slot position in the NFL.

Fourth Round (118th Overall) – Ben Bredeson, Offensive Lineman, Michigan

As of right now it looks like Patrick Morris or Elijah Wilkinson will be starting at either center or guard for Denver in 2020. Denver could definitely use some added depth in the interior line and look for somebody who could possibly be a starter for them someday. Ben Bredeson could be that guy for the Broncos because he has the body size as well as the leadership to be an asset for an NFL team.

Fifth Round (178th Overall) – David Woodward, Linebacker, Utah State

One of the weaknesses on the Denver Broncos’ defense is inside linebacker. Todd Davis and A.J. Johnson are both suitable starters but neither are elite by any measure. After passing on all the linebackers in free agency Denver will look to add somebody in the draft that could potentially be a starter for them someday and at worst a good special teams player.

David Woodward NFL Draft Profile

Sixth Round (181st Overall)-Antonio Gandy-Golden, WR, Liberty

Denver looks to add more depth at wide receiver and if Van Jefferson or Jerry Jeudy get hurt and/or are busts then they have somebody with the potential to play, and Antonio Gandy-Golden is just that. He has a great combination of size and speed and is a raw prospect that will take some molding to reach his full potential in the NFL.

Antonio Gandy-Golden NFL Draft Profile

Seventh Round (252nd Overall) – Robert Landers, Interior Defensive Lineman, Ohio State

Denver addressed their needs of defensive lineman in free agency by trading for Pro-Bowler Jurrell Casey and resigning Shelby Harris. The Broncos could, however, continue to look to add some depth at this position by taking a late-round defensive lineman. Robert Landers has potential and may have been outshined by his teammates on an elite Ohio State Defense.

Seventh Round (254th Overall) – Brian Lewerke, Quarterback, Michigan State

At this point in the draft you just want to take the best available prospect and hope that they aren’t a dud.
