At 8-8, the Colts also missed the playoffs for the first time since 2011. The majority of the blame for that season tends to fall on the Colts quarterback, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/L\/LuckAn00.htm\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Andrew Luck<\/strong><\/a>. The good part about\u00a0Luck\u2019s inconsistent play is the hope that he will lead the Colts back to glory and win the\u00a0<strong>AP Comeback Player of the Year<\/strong> award.\u00a0The\u00a0former <strong>Stanford<\/strong> Cardinal\u00a0had his worst individual season statistically in 2015 since he entered the league back in 2012. With a rejuvenated offense surrounding the talented signal caller, there are no excuses to get back to winning ways in 2016.<\/p>\n<h2>Andrew Luck Should Win 2016 NFL Comeback Player of the Year<\/h2>\n<p>Andrew Luck was a <strong>Pro Bowl<\/strong> selection his first three years in the <strong>NFL<\/strong>, from 2012-2014. He was also an <strong>MVP<\/strong> candidate in 2014 when he passed for over 4,700 yards and 40 touchdowns. Luck\u2019s stat line took a big hit in 2015 as he was only able to play in seven games. Part of the\u00a0reason for Luck\u2019s struggles in 2015\u00a0was the Colts offensive line. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.footballoutsiders.com\/stats\/ol\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">According to<strong>Football Outsiders<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Indianapolis ranked 16<sup>th<\/sup> in pass protection and 27<sup>th<\/sup> in run protection, during the 2015 season. The poor offensive line play finally caught up with the Colts in 2015.
