{"id":83637,"date":"2020-03-30T12:00:21","date_gmt":"2020-03-30T16:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/?p=83637"},"modified":"2021-05-20T19:06:16","modified_gmt":"2021-05-20T23:06:16","slug":"bryan-edwards-2020-nfl-draft-profile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2020\/03\/30\/bryan-edwards-2020-nfl-draft-profile\/","title":{"rendered":"Bryan Edwards 2020 NFL Draft Profile"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Bryan Edwards Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Position:<\/strong> Wide Receiver<br \/>\n<strong>Height:<\/strong> 6\u20193\u201d<br \/>\n<strong>Weight:<\/strong> 215 pounds<br \/>\n<strong>School:<\/strong> South Carolina<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Bryan Edwards 2020 NFL Draft Profile<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Bryan Edwards<\/strong> was a four-star recruit coming out of high school and decided to stay in his home state of South Carolina to play for the Gamecocks.\u00a0 Coming into his freshman year at South Carolina, Bryan Edwards got the nod to start and played in all 12 games.\u00a0 He had a respectable freshman year with 44 catches for 590 yards and four touchdowns.\u00a0 The following season he played every game again and built upon his freshman year by having 64 catches for 793 yards and five touchdowns.<\/p>\n<p>During his junior year, Edwards played in all 13 games and had his breakout year by having 55 catches for 846 yards and seven touchdowns.\u00a0 Bryan decided to stay and play his senior year where he was having the best season of his career before sustaining a knee injury in the 10<sup>th<\/sup> game of the season, which caused him to miss the rest of the year.\u00a0 He still managed to finish the year with 71 catches for 816 yards and six touchdowns.\u00a0 Edwards finished his career at South Carolina as the team\u2019s all-time leader in receiving yards and catches.\u00a0 Edwards then broke his foot training for the combine and was unable to participate.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Strengths<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Finishes runs, physical wide receiver;<\/li>\n<li>Experienced four-year starter and multiple school record holder;<\/li>\n<li>Tough player;<\/li>\n<li>Flashes the ability to make some of the best catches of anyone in the class;<\/li>\n<li>Ideal NFL size for the position;<\/li>\n<li>Above-average hand fighting ability at line of scrimmage;<\/li>\n<li>Above-average run blocker for a receiver.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Weaknesses<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Drop problems throughout career;<\/li>\n<li>Lets ball get into his chest on too many catches;<\/li>\n<li>Lacks elite speed, burst, and athleticism;<\/li>\n<li>Average quickness &#8211;
