Terrell Lewis Overview

Position: <\/b>EDGE Combine Performance Data<\/b><\/p>\n 40 Yard Dash: <\/b>N\/A<\/span> As a Washington D.C. St. John\u2019s high school senior, Lewis was a highly recruited four star outside linebacker. Lewis participated in the 2016 Under Armour All-American Game as well as earning the D.C. Gatorade Player of the Year award. Lewis generated a plethora of division one college offers which included, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Maryland, Ole Miss, Penn State and Ohio State. After initially committing to Ohio State, Lewis decommitted from the program during the summer of 2016 and announced his decision to play for Alabama.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Lewis instantly saw playing time as a Freshman as he appeared in 11 games while accounting for 11 tackles and one sack. Entering his Sophomore year, Lewis was considered to be one of the tides top pass rushing threats, but an upper arm injury during the season opener sidelined Lewis for 10 games. Lewis returned later that season and finished his Sophomore season with 16 tackles and one sack throughout four games. Lewis was again struck by injury during his Junior campaign as he missed the entire 2018 season with a significant ACL injury. However, as a 2019 redshirt Junior, Lewis produced a dominant season in which he played in 11 games, totaled 31 tackles, and six sacks. The Alabama product has good first step quickness as well as solid burst off the edge when put in pass rushing situations. Additionally, Lewis is able to utilize his overall length when engaging offensive linemen to prevent blockers from getting to his frame. Moreover, Lewis sets a solid edge in run defense where his combination of strength and length enables him to effectively shed blockers as well as make consistent tackles. Many of Lewis\u2019 weaknesses are due to a lack of playing time from injuries and should be corrected with more repetitions. While durability is certainly a concern, his injury history does not create big enough red flags to overlook his potential and extremely high ceiling.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n Main photo:
