Free agency changes the needs of teams across the leagues, which obviously goes on to impact the NFL Draft. Analysts across the country are doing their best to break down these updated needs to give the clearest picture possible as to what to expect in a months’ time. Without further ado, here is a Kansas City Chiefs mock draft roundup from all across the internet.

Kansas City Chiefs Mock Draft Roundup: Two Favorites Emerge

Lance Zierlien – NFL.com

D’Andre Swift [Scouting Report]

Lance Zierlien clearly believes that running backs still matter in today’s NFL, as he has Kansas City taking arguably the most dynamic running back in the class. D’Andre Swift is a talented three-down back with the skills to make a difference in both the running and passing game. However, Andy Reid has a history of turning every running back he touches into a star, so he doesn’t need to waste a top pick on the position. Reid’s fantastic system combined with the relative unimportance of the position would make this a surprising selection.

NFL Mock Draft: Post-Free Agency Edition – Last Word on Pro Football

A.J. Terrell

The Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl in large part thanks to a defense that played better than the sum of their parts. They can’t bank on that happening again, so the Chiefs grab cornerback A.J. Terrell in this mock draft. Terrell could be the best cornerback on the roster right out of the gate and should go a long way in shoring up the pass coverage.

Joe Marino – The Draft Network

A.J. Terrell

Marino agrees that Terrell is the best option for Kansas City with the 32nd overall pick. The Clemson product excels in man coverage and can follow his receiver anywhere on the field thanks to his quick feet and smooth transitioning ability. Note that Marino has Jeffrey Okudah, C.J. Henderson, Kristian Fulton, and Jeff Gladney going off the board before Terrell. There is no way Okudah falls to 32, but it’s possible that one of the other four is still on the board with pick 32.

Sports Illustrated Three-Round NFL Mock Draft

Jaylon Johnson

Another cornerback, but this time it’s Utah product Jaylon Johnson. For the same reasons as mentioned above, Sports Illustrated believes the Chiefs should go after a cornerback. However, with Terrell going off the board with the 29th pick, the Chiefs go with the next man up.

This is a three-round mock, so Sports Illustrated also has the Browns going after running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire and cornerback Amik Robertson with their second- and third-round selections. Edwards-Helaire should challenge Damien Williams for touches right out of the gate while Robertson will compete to serve as the teams CB3.

Will Brinson – CBS Sports

D’Andre Swift

Brinson admits that the Chiefs will probably trade out of the first round if they’re in this spot, but since he’s not mocking trades, he takes running back D’Andre Swift. As previously mentioned, Swift has an ideal skill set for Kansas City’s offense and would certainly make a few highlight-reel plays.

Main photo:
Embed from Getty Images

Kansas City Chiefs Mock Draft Roundup: With the first wave of free agency in the books, see who the analysts think the Chiefs will take in the NFL Draft.

[16,54,1647
5273,6203,6205,6260,6194,7738,6031
post-83237","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-chiefs","category-editorials","category-nfl-draft","tag-2020-nfl-draft","tag-a-j-terrell","tag-c-j-henderson","tag-clyde-edwards-helaire","tag-dandre-swift","tag-kansas-city-chiefs-draft","tag-kristian-fulton
["GET
