With the first wave of free agency in the books, it\u2019s time to start looking forward to the 2020 NFL Draft. Free agency changes the needs of teams across the leagues, which obviously goes on to impact the NFL Draft. Analysts across the country are doing their best to break down these updated needs to give the clearest picture possible as to what to expect in a months\u2019 time. Without further ado, here is a Cleveland Browns mock draft roundup from all across the internet.<\/p>\n
Tristan Wirfs [Scouting Report<\/a>]<\/i><\/p>\n Unless Jack Conklin<\/a><\/b> can simultaneously play both tackle positions, the Browns still have some work to do to fix their offensive line. Tristan Wirfs<\/b> is one of the three or four tackles in the running for top in the class, and he\u2019s the third offensive lineman to go off the board in this mock. Wirfs has arguably the highest upside on anyone in the class, although his relative lack of size could push him inside. In a best-case scenario, the Browns have their left tackle of the future. In a worst-case scenario, the Browns have their left guard of the future.<\/p>\n Jedrick Wills [Scouting Report<\/a>]<\/i><\/p>\n The Cleveland Browns once again address their offensive line in the first round, but this time they go after Jedrick Wills<\/b>. In this mock, Wirfs and Andrew Thomas<\/b> go off the board with the eighth and ninth picks, respectively. If the Browns feel like there are three or four franchise-caliber left tackles on the board, then they should be content to sit tight and wait for the draft to unfold. However, if they feel like one player is dramatically better than the others, then they might have to trade up to get their guy.<\/p>\n Tristian Wirfs<\/i><\/p>\n Another vote for the offensive lineman out of Iowa. What\u2019s interesting is that, in this mock, Wirfs is actually the second offensive lineman off the board. In Marino\u2019s scenario, Wills goes to the Giants with the fourth-overall pick, but Thomas, Wirfs, and Mekhi Becton<\/b> are on the board when the Browns get to pick. If this scenario unfolds, the Browns might entertain the notion of trading down if a team like the Raiders wants to jump the Jets for the rights to Jerry Jeudy<\/b>.<\/p>\n Mekhi Becton<\/i><\/p>\n Louisville tackle Mekhi Becton<\/b> makes his debut on the Cleveland Browns mock draft team. Becton is probably the rawest of the four top tackles in the class, but nobody can deny his freak strength and untapped talent. In this scenario, Wirfs and Willis were both off the board. If the Browns are shooting for upside and nothing else, Becton makes sens ove Andrew Thomas.<\/p>\n This is a three-round mock, so Sports Illustrated also has the Browns going after linebackers Zack Baun<\/b> and Malik Harrison<\/b> and interior offensive lineman Tyler Biadsz<\/b> with their second- and third-round selections. Buan and Harrison will help shore up what is probably the weakest part of Cleveland\u2019s defense, while Biadsz should compete to start on the interior. If nothing else, he should start the season as the top option on the bench.<\/p>\n Andrew Thomas<\/i><\/p>\n The fourth of the top tackles in the class finally makes his way onto the Browns. The Georgia product might not have the same athletic upside as guys like Wirfs and Beckton, and he isn\u2019t quite as polished as Willis. However, he\u2019s still a fantastic prospect and could easily be the best tackle of the bunch when all is said and done.
