As of this posting, the exact financial structure is not available to the public. And last offseason, they lost longtime starting center <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/P\/ParaMa00.htm\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Matt Paradis<\/strong><\/a> to the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/panthers\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Carolina Panthers<\/a>. In turned out for the better. Fourth-year offensive lineman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/McGoCo00.htm\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Connor McGovern<\/strong><\/a> outplayed the new Panther in 2019 after switching to center fulltime. He graded out as the 11th best center in the league with a 71.9 overall grade from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pff.com\/nfl\/players\/connor-mcgovern\/10778\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PFF<\/a> and the fifth-highest grade pass blocker. In a career season before hitting the market, McGovern was never penalized and only gave up one sack in 16 starts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">McGovern was drafted by the Broncos out of Missouri in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. In college, he played alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/bills\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Buffalo Bills<\/a> center <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MorsMi00.htm\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Mitch Morse<\/strong><\/a> and free agent guard <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BoehEv00.htm\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Evan Boehm<\/strong><\/a>. With a 6\u20194\u201d and 306lbs frame, McGovern moved to the interior part of the offensive line after being utilized at both guard and tackle in college. McGovern would go on to not play a snap during his rookie season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2017, injuries allowed McGovern to slide into the starting lineup. He started five of his 15 games that season but struggled mightily. The Broncos reshuffled the line in 2018, with McGovern receiving another shot at starting. His play improved, as he even switched to center following Paradis\u2019 broken leg for the remainder of the season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">McGovern brings a plug-and-play starter to the table as the best center on the market this offseason.
