Jaylon Johnson 2020 NFL Draft Profile\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Anyone who follows the NFL knows the extreme importance of having a talented secondary. This year\u2019s draft class is loaded with depth and talent all across the board at the cornerback position. While he isn\u2019t at the head of his class, there are very few out there with more potential than Utah Utes cornerback Jaylon Johnson<\/a><\/strong>. Throughout his college career, he showcased the potential to one day be an elite corner in the NFL. His numbers speak for himself as he tallied a total of 102 tackles, seven interceptions, and 21 passes defended in his three-year college career. Gladney was also named to the First-team All-Pac-12 twice for his efforts in the 2018 and 2019 seasons.<\/p>\n

As a four-star recruit out of high school, Johnson had his fair share of offers to play college football. He received offers from some of the top schools in the nation including Georgia, Oklahoma, and Michigan. Johnson ultimately decided that Utah was the best fit for him and officially signed with them on October 28th, 2016. Johnson was a starter for all three years of his college career but ran into his fair share of struggles in his freshman campaign. He made tremendous strides in coverage during his sophomore season, which he sustained throughout the rest of his career. Following the conclusion of his junior season, Gladney officially declared for the 2020 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n
