The Green Bay Packers<\/strong> steamrolled the Seattle Seahawks<\/strong>\u00a038-10 in a must-win game at home. This was going to be a tough matchup for the Pack if the Seahawks showed up, but they didn\u2019t. The Packers made arguably the best defense in the league look silly. They made an offense that at times can be as good as it gets, struggle all game. The Packers showed how much they want to make the playoffs, and if they continue this type of play they just might. Green Bay Packers Week 14 Takeaways<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Aaron Rodgers<\/a><\/strong> Sustains Another Injury, Still Looked Great<\/h3>\n

Rodgers claimed, after the game, that he injured his calf in the first quarter of the game. Although it\u2019s never a good sign to see injuries popping up late in the season, the Packers signal caller\u00a0appeared to be able to play through the injury. He threw the ball just 23 times, completing 18. He accumulated 246 yards and three touchdowns. Two of his touchdowns went to Jordy Nelson<\/a><\/strong>, while the third was a 66-yard pass to Davante Adams<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The running game also helped Rodgers, as they also got two touchdowns on the ground. The Packers seven different rushers acquired 93 yards on 30 carries. Ty Montgomery<\/a><\/strong>, who seemed to be getting a lot of work early, rushed for a touchdown. Jeff Janis<\/a><\/strong> scored the second rushing touchdown on a late game end around.<\/p>\n

Packers Defense Improving<\/h3>\n

The Packers have had holes in their defense for almost the entire season. Key injuries and poor play had made the Packers easy opponents to put a lot of points up for opposing offenses. That wasn\u2019t the case in this game. The Seahawks had just three points throughout the entirety of the game. They kicked a field goal on their opening drive, and didn\u2019t score their touchdown until 8:21 mark of the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n

The Packers stopped a high-powered Russell Wilson<\/a><\/strong> in the cold temperatures at Lambeau Field<\/strong>. On 39 pass attempts, Wilson completed 22 balls for 240 yards. The Packers intercepted Wilson five times throughout the game. The run defense was a little more shaky, giving up 136 total yards, but they were up so big that the Seahawks were forced to air it out. This defense must continue their good play if this team wants to survive.<\/p>\n

Week 15 preview<\/h3>\n

The Packers hit the road to take on rival Chicago Bears<\/strong>. They have three division games to wrap up the 2016-17 season. All of these games are must win for the Packers. They trail the Detroit Lions<\/strong> by two games in the division and their path to the wild card disappears more and more each week.<\/p>\n
