The San Francisco 49ers probably aren’t overly concerned. They needn’t be.

Marshawn Lynch Hopes to Bring Back Beast Mode in the Crucial Home Game

Return of “Beast Mode”

I attended the game that gave birth to Marshawn Lynch’s Beast Mode. He broke numerous tackles and rumbled 67 yards for the score. It was one of the most electrifying live sporting moments I’ve ever been a part of. The 7-9 Seahawks hosted the heavily favored New Orleans Saints in a playoff game when Lynch scorched the turf and shook the stands. Despite not being a Seahawks fan, I jumped to my feet in awe and cheered with the rest of the seventy-some thousand in attendance. It was amazing.

Marshawn Lynch and the Seahawks will try and capture a bit of that magic again this Sunday night. Lynch will take the field in the most important game in recent Seahawks memory. If the Seahawks win, they win the NFC West, and depending on how things shake out Sunday could have a first-round bye in the playoffs. A loss makes them a five seed and will find them on the road in the Wild Card round.

Injuries Force Seahawks Into Signings

Seattle was forced to sign Marshawn Lynch and another former Seahawk running back Robert Turbin due to season-ending injuries to C.J. Prosise and Chris Carson. The offensive line is also banged up and they lost their best lineman in Duane Brown for the season. It’s going to be an uphill battle for Lynch and the Hawks. Russell Wilson might be asked to carry the load and that could be a dangerous proposition for him. The 49ers defensive line is scary good and they should dominate the wounded Hawks o-line. Expect Nick Bosa, Arik Armstead, DeForest Buckner and company to be in the backfield early and often.

The 49ers offense has been clicking lately, and they will try and used a balanced offense and ferocious defense to lock up the NFC West and the NFC #1 Seed. For Marshawn Lynch, a lot has changed with the 49ers defense since he’s been in Seattle. It might not end up being a night Seahawks fans are going to want to remember. They’ll bring their Skittles to throw into the endzone with Lunch scores, but they’ll probably not be throwing a whole lot of them.

Marshawn Lynch once famously said, “I’m about that action, boss.” It will be interesting to see just how much of that action he finds Sunday night. The game will air nationally as it’s been flexed to the Sunday night primetime slot. It will certainly be entertaining, for a while.

Final Prediction: San Francisco 49ers 35, Seattle Seahawks 10

Main Photo:
Embed from Getty Images

Marshawn Lynch, aka Beast Mode, is back.
