Whether you’re looking to take home a championship or just avoid coming in last, now is the time to search the waiver wire for all the best available tight ends. No team utilizes the tight end position more than the Ravens, so somebody is going to have to step up in Andrews’ absence. As of right now, that person appears to be Hurst. The Ravens actually took Hurst ahead of Lamar Jackson in the 2018 NFL Draft, which shows that they believe he can be a great player. Additionally, Hurst managed to make the most of his opportunity by recording three receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown with Andrews sidelined.

If Mark Andrews comes back for Week 15, then you shouldn’t claim Hayden Hurst. However, if Andrews can’t play, then Hurst can be a nice streaming candidate with a decent chance of finding his way into the endzone. If you’re in an extremely deep league, then you can take a shot on Nick Boyle. However, you’ll have to be truly desperate to turn to him.

Ian Thomas

Just like Hayden Hurst, Ian Thomas is only going to carry fantasy value if Greg Olsen misses extended time. Working without Olsen in Week 14, Thomas recorded five receptions for 57 yards and touchdown. What’s most impressive about this outing is that he received 10 targets, which is more than enough for fantasy relevance. If this workload continues into Week 15, he should be a comfortable stream if you need a quick fix at tight end.

Noah Fant, if Healthy

Noah Fant would top this list had he not suffered a foot injury midway through Week 14’s contest. The first-round pick was in the midst of the best game of his career, hauling in all four of his targets for 113 yards and one touchdown. Based on raw talent alone, Fant has the ability to be one of the better receiving tight ends in the league. However, he obviously won’t carry much fantasy value if he can’t make it on the field.

As of this posting, nobody knows the severity of Fant’s injury. If it looks like he’ll miss Week 15, then go and pick up Mike Gesicki. Gesicki had a bad game in Week 14, but he still saw five targets. With Devante Parker presumably sidelined, Gesicki could be the top option in the passing game against the New York Giants. There’s no such thing as a good streaming tight end, but Gesicki has a higher ceiling than most.

Week 15 Waiver Wire Claims – Running Back – Wide Receiver – Quarterback – Tight End – Defense

Main photo:
Embed from Getty Images

Fantasy Football Week 15 Tight End Waiver Wire Claims: Hayden Hurst and Ian Thomas are smart pickups for the fantasy football playoffs.

[59,54
982,3774,3726,3770,3605,5922,4534
post-77572","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-fantasy","category-editorials","tag-greg-olsen","tag-hayden-hurst","tag-ian-thomas","tag-mark-andrews","tag-mike-gesicki","tag-nick-boyle","tag-noah-fant
["GET
