We end up looking back at statistics and box scores in an attempt to find deficiencies. With that in mind, let\u2019s look at the 2019 Oakland Raiders offense, in season, with an eye towards the 2020 NFL Draft. As it stands now, the Oakland Raiders have two first-round picks, no pick in the second round, and three picks in the third round. With that many high end picks, expect to see a couple of new faces on offense in 2020.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Oakland Raiders 2020 NFL Draft Needs on Offense<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quarterback<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/C\/CarrDe02.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Derek Carr<\/a><\/strong> has elevated his game in his second year under head coach <strong>Jon Gruden<\/strong>. While Carr is more game manager than playmaker, finding a better quarterback in the draft for the 2020 season will be tough. There is still a quarter of the season left but at this moment I don\u2019t see anyone other than Carr as the starting quarterback next season. I will note that Gruden sees the game shifting for quarterbacks and has <a href=\"https:\/\/profootballtalk.nbcsports.com\/2019\/07\/28\/jon-gruden-wants-derek-carr-using-his-legs-more\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said he\u2019d like to see<\/a> Carr use his legs more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em><strong>Draft Need: Low<\/strong><\/em>. The top quarterbacks look to be off the board by the time the Raiders pick in the first round so Gruden won\u2019t be tempted. He does love quarterbacks though. I can see him taking a dual-threat quarterback late (even with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/K\/KizeDe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DeShone Kizer<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/P\/PeteNa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nathan Peterman<\/a><\/strong> around).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Running Back \/ Fullback<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rookies <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JacoJo01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Josh Jacobs<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/I\/IngoAl01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alec Ingold<\/a><\/strong> have the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/2019\/11\/24\/oakland-raiders-rookies-playoffs\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">backfield locked down<\/a> for the foreseeable future. The need is at backup running back. While <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/R\/RichJa01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jalen Richard<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WashDe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DeAndre Washington<\/a><\/strong> are both talented backs, they\u2019re very similar, smaller backs. The Raiders could use a bigger back to spell Jacobs at times. General manager <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MayoMi20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mike Mayock<\/a><\/strong> and Gruden have worked out bruising backs such as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/ScarBo01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bo Scarbrough<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BlouLe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LeGarrette Blount<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/A\/AndeC.00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">C.J. Anderson<\/a><\/strong> throughout the season in an attempt to find someone who can help.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><em>Need:<\/em> Moderate<\/strong>. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JacoJo01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Josh Jacobs<\/a> is on pace for nearly 300 carries which is a high mark for a rookie running back. If not addressed in free agency, there\u2019s definitely a need for a late-round back with size.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Wide Receiver \/ Tight End<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wide receiver might be the most glaring need on offense. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WillTy00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tyrell Williams<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/R\/RenfHu00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hunter Renfrow<\/a><\/strong> have played important roles in the offense but <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JoneZa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zay Jones<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/D\/DaviTr03.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trevor Davis<\/a><\/strong> have failed to make much of an impact so far. An explosive playmaker is absolutely needed on the outside. At the same time, there doesn\u2019t appear to be much of a need at tight end. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WallDa01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Darren Waller<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MoreFo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Foster Moreau<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/C\/CarrDe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Derek Carrier<\/a><\/strong> are as well rounded a position group as the Raiders have.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><em>Need: <\/em>High<\/strong>. The need for a playmaking wide receiver is high. Raider Nation is hoping someone like <strong>CeeDee Lamb<\/strong> or <b>Laviska Shenault<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0is <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/2019\/11\/06\/nfl-first-round-2020-mock-draft\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">available when they pick in the first round<\/a>. With this much need at receiver, I expect the Raiders to double-dip and take a second receiver in the middle rounds.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Offensive Line<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The offensive line play has been good in 2019 after struggling mightily at times in 2018. They overcame the early suspension and injury issues on the interior. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/I\/IncoRi20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Richie Incognito<\/a><\/strong> is 36 years old and it\u2019s fair to ask how long he\u2019ll play at this high of a level. Rookie <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JameAn01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Andre James<\/a><\/strong> has filled in well for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/H\/HudsRo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rodney Hudson<\/a><\/strong> at the center. The same goes for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GoodDe01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Denzelle Good<\/a><\/strong> filling in at guard.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><em>Need: <\/em>Low<\/strong>.
