Week 13 of the NFL season is right around the corner, and fantasy football owners everywhere are trying to optimize their lineups. Deciding on who to start and sit isn\u2019t easy, especially when a player like Sam Darnold<\/a> <\/strong>gets hot. Let\u2019s take a dive into all of the best start em\u2019, sit em\u2019 matchups of the week to put together the best possible lineup.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong><\/em><\/a>Running Back Start\/Sits<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Sam Darnold, Philip Rivers Highlight Fantasy Football Week 13 Quarterback Start Sits<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Start: Sam Darnold<\/h3>\n

After one of the strangest starts to the season in recent memory, Sam Darnold is back to being a reliable fantasy football quarterback. The former third-overall pick is playing up to his draft stock, recording 608 yards, six touchdowns, and just one interception over the past two games. Darnold faces another favorable matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals and should continue to be a smart streaming option.<\/p>\n

Sit: Philip Rivers<\/h3>\n

This could very well be the end of Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers<\/a><\/strong>. Forced to play behind one of the worst offensive lines in the league, years of physical abuse appear to be catching up to the former first-round pick. Over the last two week, Rivers has completed just 54% of his passes for 560 yards, three touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He\u2019s a turnover machine going up against a strong defense in the Denver Broncos in what should be a low-scoring game.<\/p>\n

Start: Tom Brady<\/h3>\n

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady<\/a><\/strong> should be much better in the second half of the season than he was in the first. Protection matters for Brady, and his offensive line should be considerably better with Isaiah Wynn<\/a><\/strong> back in the picture. Additionally, getting first-round pick N\u2019Keal Harry<\/strong> and Mohamed Sanu<\/a><\/strong> back on the field won\u2019t hurt either. Brady still has a strong arm and should put up a strong fantasy performance now that he\u2019s not playing in a monsoon.<\/p>\n

Sit: Daniel Jones<\/h3>\n

Daniel Jones<\/a><\/strong> is one of the most volatile passers in the league. While he has the ability to put up a big game at a moments\u2019 notice, he\u2019s also incredibly careless with the ball. His penchant for turnovers can be a killer for fantasy football, and he\u2019s going up against a ferocious pass-rushing duo in the Green Bay Packers. The Packers should pressure Jones early and often, leading to fumbles and a few ill-advised passes.<\/p>\n

Start: Carson Wentz<\/h3>\n

Carson Wentz<\/a><\/strong> has not been good for fantasy football in quite some time. The former second-overall pick hasn\u2019t thrown more than one touchdown since Week 6 and is struggling to develop chemistry with Philadelphia\u2019s underwhelming receivers. However, Wentz should bounce back with a strong game against a putrid Miami Dolphins team. At least one of Alshon Jeffery<\/a><\/strong> or Nelson Agholor<\/a><\/strong> should be back, so Wentz will have a reliable option in the passing game.<\/p>\n

Sit: Jimmy Garoppolo<\/h3>\n

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo<\/a><\/strong> can take advantage of a bad defense, but he\u2019s yet to prove that he can move the chains against one of the best in the league. Since acquiring Marcus Peters<\/a><\/strong>, the Baltimore Ravens have transformed from a below-average defense into one of the NFL\u2019s premier units. Garoppolo is going to struggle through the air and will probably turn the ball over once or twice. Ultimately, you\u2019re better off leaving him on the bench for this matchup.<\/p>\n
