12 weeks of NFL play are officially in the books, which means bye weeks are officially a thing of the past. With the fantasy football playoffs right around the corner, it’s time to search the waiver wire for all the best available tight ends. Heading into Week 13, you should set your eyes on\u00a0<\/b>Dallas Goedert<\/a>, Noah Fant<\/a>, Ryan Griffin<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Mike Gesicki<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Note that in order to make this list, the player had to be available in over 50% of fantasy leagues. If you\u2019re in smaller leagues, there may be better players available. Make sure to check your waivers to see if there are any diamonds in the rough before submitting your claims.<\/p>\n

Dallas Goedert, Noah Fant Highlight Fantasy Football Week 13 Tight End Waiver Wire Claims<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Dallas Goedert<\/h3>\n

Dallas Goedert remains the best tight end option for those trapped in tight end hell. The Philadelphia Eagles are hurting at the wide receiver position, as all of their players are either hurt, inexperienced, or just straight-up unreliable. The Eagles\u2019 strength comes from their elite tight end<\/a> duo in Zach Ertz<\/a><\/strong> and Dallas Goedert. While Ertz is the unquestioned star of the two, Goedert has his fair share of targets each and every week.<\/p>\n

Dallas Goedert has recorded at least five targets in each of his previous four games, including a season-high eight in Week 12. Streaming the tight end position is all about finding the players with the most opportunity, and there many widely available tight ends with more opportunities than Goedert.<\/p>\n

Noah Fant<\/h3>\n

Catching passes from Brandon Allen<\/a><\/strong> isn\u2019t ideal for fantasy, but Noah Fant has the volume to string together an impessive outing. Unlike other fantasy positions, it\u2019s hard to find a tight end you can reliably pick up and start. Instead, picking up tight ends is all about looking at usage and rolling the dice on the players that have the highest probability of success.<\/p>\n

Based on usage, talent, and target share, Noah Fant is one of the best tight ends on the market. The 2019 first-round pick has seen an exponential rise in target share and snap count since the Emmanuel Sanders<\/a><\/strong> trade, and that probably won\u2019t change any time soon. While his three-catch, 15-yard stat line leaves a lot to be desired, the fact of the matter is that Fant saw five targets last week and 10 targets in Week 11. Eventually, these targets are going to start turning into legitimate fantasy production.<\/p>\n

Mike Gesicki<\/h3>\n

This is another case of chasing the targets. Nobody wants to be too invested in the Miami Dolphins offense, but tight end Mike Gesicki is receiving a dependable workload. The former second-round pick has recorded at least six targets in four straight games, and the Miami Dolphins should continue this usage moving forward. With Preston Williams<\/a><\/strong> done for the year, Ryan Fitzpatrick<\/a><\/strong> has nobody else to turn to outside of DeVante Parker<\/a><\/strong>. The Dolphins face off against an improved Philadelphia Eagles defense in Week 12, but Gesicki should continue to receive a reliable workload.<\/p>\n

Ryan Griffin<\/h3>\n

This is basically the same argument as the rest of the tight ends on this list. Sam Darnold<\/a><\/strong> trusts Ryan Griffin, and that\u2019s enough to make him a streaming candidate. The targets weren\u2019t there for Griffin in Week 12, but that had as much to do with the game script as anything else. The Jets jumped out to a ridiculous lead and didn\u2019t need to throw the ball late in the game. There is a chance that the Week 13\u2019s matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals has a similar script, but Griffin should be more utilized moving forward.<\/p>\n
