Calling all New Orleans Saints<\/a> fans: two lists rolled out in the NFL world and I am not particularly sure about either one. One list was the ESPN power rankings<\/a> for the week which had the Saints at No. 6. This is the second time the team is in this position. This team should at least be in the top five.<\/p>\n

For the most part, I am a little confused as to how the Seattle Seahawks<\/a> are ahead the Saints. The Saints lost to the Atlanta Falcons<\/a> and the Los Angeles Rams<\/a>. The Seahawks lost to the Baltimore Ravens<\/a> and the Saints. If the losses are considered, then maybe the list is correct. However, based at least on general dominance in most of their games, the Seahawks should still not be above the Saints.<\/p>\n

The second was the current leaders of the Pro Bowl voting, and, surprisingly, none of the Saints players are leading in their respected positions. I\u2019m eyeing the wide receiver ballot in particular because Michael Thomas<\/a><\/strong> is having a pretty historic year.<\/p>\n

Time for Saints Fans to Vote for the Pro Bowl<\/h2>\n

Since his start, he has shown nothing but progress as a player. In 2016, Michael Thomas started in twelve games for the New Orleans Saints. He ended the season with 92 receptions. He continued to improve by beating his record with 104 reception in 2017. Last season, he started in 16 games and ended the season with 125 receptions. At 94 receptions this season, Thomas is currently on pace to break his record. Everyone is also eyeing whether Thomas will break Marvin Harrison<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s single season receptions record. Harrison\u2019s record is 143 receptions. If Thomas gets about 8 receptions in each of the remainder games, he will surpass Harrison.<\/p>\n

The Saints may have hit it big in the investment on Thomas. This season hasn\u2019t been the easiest. Remember, the Saints lost Drew Brees<\/a><\/strong> for five games leaving Teddy Bridgewater<\/a><\/strong> as the starting quarterback. In the midst of this tragedy, the team won all five games. However, Thomas is one player who remained consistent. He showed the Saints it didn\u2019t matter who was throwing the ball, he will catch it.<\/p>\n

Others Listed on Pro Bowl<\/h3>\n

The Saints have plenty other players listed on the voting ballots for the Pro Bowl. On the offense, Drew Brees<\/a><\/strong>, Alvin Kamara<\/a><\/strong>, Latavius Murray<\/a><\/strong>, Ted Ginn<\/a><\/strong> Jr. Jared Cook<\/a><\/strong>, Zach Line<\/a><\/strong>, Terron Armstead<\/a><\/strong>, Ryan Ramczyk<\/a><\/strong>, Andrus Peat<\/a><\/strong>, Larry Warford<\/a>,<\/strong> and Erik McCoy<\/a><\/strong> are listed.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, we can all marvel at the fact that defense is shining. They have been on an entirely new level this season, and we are loving it. The Saints have all of their starting defensive players listed for the pro bowl. They are Marcus Davenport<\/a><\/strong>, Cameron Jordan<\/a><\/strong>, Malcom Brown<\/a><\/strong>, Sheldon Rankins<\/a><\/strong>, Kiko Alonso<\/a><\/strong>, Demario Davis<\/a>, A.J. Klein<\/a><\/strong>, Eli Apple<\/a><\/strong>, Marshon Lattimore<\/a><\/strong>, Vonn Bell<\/a><\/strong>, and Marcus Williams<\/a><\/strong>. This season, Dennis Allen<\/strong> has given the league a picture of the defensive depth he is working with. I\u2019m sure everyone is taking notice.<\/p>\n

Last Word<\/h3>\n

Luckily for us, the Pro Bowl is done by votes. I\u2019m sure most Saints fans will admit, we don\u2019t want to see these men in the Pro Bowl game: we want our time to be Super Bowl. That is the focus, but just in case, let\u2019s make sure we give them a chance in appearing in the Pro Bowl.<\/p>\n
