Gone are the days where you could just coast by on a strong draft. Now more than ever, you’ll need to search the waiver wire for the best available defense streams. Heading into Week 10, you should set your eyes on the Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, and New York Giants.

Note that in order to make this list, the defense had to be available in over 50% of fantasy leagues. If you’re in smaller leagues, there may be better players available. Make sure to check your waivers to see if there are any diamonds in the rough before submitting your claims.

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Claims: Running Back – Wide Reciever – Quarterback

Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts Highlight Fantasy Football Week 10 Defense Waiver Wire Streams

Baltimore Ravens

This one is all about playing the matchup, and nobody has a better matchup in Week 10 than the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens actually slowed down a relatively average New England Patriots offense in Week 9, so they have the ability to play well in the right matchup. New England might not be their normal unstoppable selves on offense, but they’re significantly better than Baltimore’s Week 10 opponent.

The Cincinnati Bengals could very well be the worst team in football. After an underwhelming 0-8 start where nothing went right, Cincinnati benched Andy Dalton for the untested Ryan Finley. Say what you will about Dalton, but he’s probably better than a fourth-round rookie. The Bengals have the worst offensive line in football, no dependable weapons, and the Ravens defense should absolutely dominate in this matchup.

Detroit Lions

The Chicago Bears appear to be sticking with Mitchell Trubisky, which means that the Detroit Lions defense is a fantastic streaming candidate. Trubisky is simply not a starting-caliber quarterback, and head coach Matt Nagy can no longer hide Trubisky’s weaknesses behind his scheme. The Bears have one of the worst offenses in the league and cannot consistently move the ball against any type of defense.

The Lions have had their fair share of defensive struggles throughout the season, but they should be able to come away with a good outing in this matchup. Even if Detroit leaves a few open receivers, nothing about Trubisky’s film suggests he’s capable of taking advantage of said opportunities. The Lions should end the outing with quite a few sacks and a turnover or two.

New York Giants

Adam Gase is not a good coach, and Sam Darnold isn’t good enough to overcome Gase’s terrible decision making. The Jets lost to the Dolphins in Week 9 and did so in embarrassing fashion. Darnold threw one of the worst interceptions you’ll ever see near the goal line and completely gave up on recovering a botched snap, resulting in a safety. The Jets simply aren’t playing like a collective unit, and that probably won’t change in a one-week timeframe.

The Giants don’t have a good defense, but that doesn’t appear to matter for the Jets. The Dolphins are considerably worse on defense, but the Jets still turned the ball over and couldn’t move the ball consistently. New York should be able to hold their own against the Jets and put together a strong fantasy outing.

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Claims: Running Back – Wide Reciever – Quarterback

Main photo:
Embed from Getty Images

Fantasy Football Week 10 Defense Waiver Wire Streams: The Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts face favorable matchups and should be good streams.

[59,54
854,174,43,294,61,2265,92,40,4950
post-75620","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-fantasy","category-editorials","tag-andy-dalton","tag-baltimore-ravens","tag-detroit-lions","tag-fantasy-football","tag-football","tag-mitchell-trubisky","tag-new-york-giants","tag-nfl","tag-ryan-finley
["GET
