Six weeks of NFL play are officially in the books, which means bye weeks are in full swing. Gone are the days where you could just coast by on a strong draft. Now more than ever, you\u2019ll need to search the waiver wire for all the best available wide receivers. Heading into Week 7, you should set your eyes on\u00a0Auden Tate<\/a>, Adam Humphries<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Jakobi<\/strong> Meyers<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Note that in order to make this list, the player had to be available in over 50% of fantasy leagues. If you\u2019re in smaller leagues, there may be better players available. Make sure to check your waivers to see if there are any diamonds in the rough before submitting your claims.<\/p>\n

Auden Tate, Adam Humphries Highlight Fantasy Football Week 7 Wide Receiver Waiver Claims<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Auden Tate<\/h3>\n

Auden Tate is going to remain on this list until fantasy football owners start picking him up. As mentioned previously<\/a>, Tate has the necessary opportunity to be fantasy-relevant until A.J. Green<\/a><\/strong> returns to action. Starting opposite Tyler Boyd<\/a><\/strong>, Tate recorded five receptions for 91 yards. The Bengals throw the ball at one of the highest rates<\/a> in the league, and they don\u2019t really have anyone else capable of catching the ball. He might not score touchdowns on a consistent basis, but he has a consistent and reliable target share.<\/p>\n

Adam Humphries<\/h3>\n

Adam Humphries might finally start living up to the contract. After a terrible start, the Titans officially benched Marcus Mariota<\/a><\/strong> for Ryan Tannehill<\/a><\/strong>. Tannehill played well in relief of the former second overall pick, completing 13 of his 16 pass attempts for 144 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception. He didn\u2019t light the world on fire by any means, but he looked better than Mariota.<\/p>\n

As of this posting, the Titans have not revealed who is going to start in Week 7. However, if it\u2019s Tannehill, then Adam Humphries is a must-add. Humphries excels out of the slot, winning quick off the line of scrimmage, and hauling in just about everything thrown his way. In other words, he\u2019s a lot like Jarvis Landry<\/a><\/strong>. Tannehill lives to throw quick dumpoffs to slot receivers, as evidenced by his obsessive targeting of Jarvis Landry in Miami. Tannehill will likely target Humphries early and often if he ends up making the start against the Los Angeles Chargers. Even if Mariota earns another start, it won’t be long before Tannehill is under center.<\/p>\n

Jakobi Meyers<\/h3>\n

The New England Patriots wide receivers are falling down by the wayside. Julian Edelman<\/a><\/strong> is battling through a rib injury, Josh Gordon<\/a><\/strong> hurt his knee in Week 6, and Phillip Dorsett<\/strong><\/a> missed the majority of the past two weeks with a hamstring injury. Somebody needs to step up in their absence, and that somebody appears to be undrafted free agent Jakobi Meyers.<\/p>\n

As discussed back in August<\/a>, Meyers is better than your typical undrafted free agent. He lit up the preseason and has the college tape to suggest he can be a playmaker on the NFL level. During Week 6, Meyers caught three of his four targets for 54 yards. He should be able to exploit a favorable matchup against the New York Jets if Gordon and\/or Dorsett aren\u2019t able to suit up.<\/p>\n
