Six weeks of NFL play are officially in the books, which means bye weeks are in full swing. Gone are the days where you could just coast by on a strong draft. Now more than ever, you\u2019ll need to search the waiver wire for all the best available running backs. Heading into Week 7, you should set your eyes on\u00a0Devin Singletary<\/a>, Darrell Henderson<\/a>, Chase Edmonds<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Brandon Bolden<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Note that in order to make this list, the player had to be available in over 50% of fantasy leagues. If you\u2019re in smaller leagues, there may be better players available. Make sure to check your waivers to see if there are any diamonds in the rough before submitting your claims.<\/p>\n

Devin Singletary, Darrell Henderson Highlight Fantasy Football Week 7 Running Back Waiver Wire Claims<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Devin Singletary<\/h3>\n

Buffalo Bills running back Devin Singletary looked like a star during the first two weeks of the season. Starting the year as Frank Gore<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s backup, Singletary quickly proved to be the superior runner in the backfield. Through the first two games, Singletary recorded 127 rushing yards and one touchdown on 10 attempts to go along with five receptions for 28 yards.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, Singletary suffered an injury in Week 2 and has yet to return to the field. The rookie was a game-time decision in Week 5 and is coming off a bye in Week 7, so it\u2019s safe to assume he will suit up. Even if he doesn\u2019t get the starting job out of the gate, Singletary faces off against the Miami Dolphins in Week 7. There are going to be plenty of carries to go around, and Singletary should be a solid flex play with RB2 upside for the remainder of the season.<\/p>\n

Darrell Henderson<\/h3>\n

Darrell Henderson is going to be fantasy relevant as long as Todd Gurley<\/a><\/strong> stays on the sideline. Prior to Week 6, I wrote an article<\/a> detailing the projected split between Malcolm Brown<\/a><\/strong> and Henderson. As it turns out, Henderson received a larger workload than I had projected. Brown had the lead job, but Henderson saw a decent amount of work. In total, the rookie recorded a combined seven touches for 48 yards. These numbers will probably improve in Week 7, as Jared Goff<\/a><\/strong> is coming off of a historically bad performance.<\/p>\n

Goff has nowhere to go but up next week when the Rams face off against an atrocious Atlanta Falcons defense. Henderson is going to have more opportunities to make plays. Assuming Gurley can\u2019t play next week, Henderson can be a desperation start in a deeper league. Don\u2019t waste waiver priority on him, but try to add him if he\u2019s available after Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Note: Obviously, grab Malcolm Brown over Darrell Henderson if he’s still available in your league.<\/em><\/p>\n

Redux: Chase Edmonds<\/h3>\n

David Johnson<\/a><\/strong> played in Week 6 despite a back injury, but Chase Edmonds still managed to get some playing time. Truthfully, Edmonds outplayed the superstar running back, recording a combined 77 yards and one touchdown on just seven touches. Johnson, meanwhile, recorded 102 yards and a touchdown on 18 touches.<\/p>\n

Johnson\u2019s going to remain the primary running back, but Kliff Kingsbury<\/a><\/strong> is going to have to keep giving Edmonds the ball. Arizona has a faster pace of play than any team in football and they\u2019re facing off against a bad New York Giants defense. Edmonds should see a respectable amount of time on the field and make the most out of his opportunities.<\/p>\n

Brandon Bolden<\/h3>\n

Brandon Bolden is the most desperate of all desperation plays and is only relevant if Rex Burkhead<\/a><\/strong> misses another week of action. In Burkhead\u2019s absence, New England utilized Bolden as the third running back off the bench. Bolden, a jack of all trades and master of none, made a handful of plays in the passing game and even saw some work in the red zone. He\u2019s scored a touchdown in three straight weeks and has a decent chance to do it again in Week 7 if Burkhead doesn\u2019t play. If all else fails, take a flier on Brandon Bolden and his touchdown upside.<\/p>\n
