Gone are the days where you could just coast by on a strong draft. Now more than ever, you’ll need to search the waiver wire for all the best available wide receivers. Heading into Week 6, you should set your eyes on Jamison Crowder, Keke Coutee, and DeVante Parker.

Note that in order to make this list, the player had to be available in over 50% of fantasy leagues. If you’re in smaller leagues, there may be better players available. Crowder and quarterback Sam Darnold demonstrated some fantastic chemistry in Week 1, as the first-year Jet recorded 14 receptions on 17 targets for 99 yards. Darnold missed the next four weeks of action but should be back for Week 6. He’s going to be rusty and probably a little trigger-shy after his well-documented battle with mono. This means Darnold and offensive coordinator Adam Gase are going to try to use a quick-passing game, which means great things for Crowder.

Crowder didn’t perform that well with Luke Falk, but the underlying numbers suggest he’s due for a breakout performance. According to the Air Yards model, Crowder has the fourth-highest WOPR in the league, behind only Michael Thomas, Cooper Kupp, and Keenan Allen. WOPR essentially measures the opportunity for success a player is given, and few have a better situation than Crowder. Pick him up, plug him into your lineup, and don’t be surprised when he gives you a big game.

Keke Coutee

As long as Kenny Stills remains sidelined, Keke Coutee is going to have some fantasy football value in deeper leagues. The slot receiver is clearly the third option in the passing game, but Houston’s high-volume passing attack means he should see a decent amount of targets. Last week, Coutee finished with three receptions for 72 yards. This game was a shootout, so the passing numbers were somewhat inflated from a typical week.

Fortunately for Coutee’s fantasy value, Week 6 is no typical week for the Houston Texans. The Texans face off against Patrick Mahomes and the high-flying Kansas City Chiefs offense. This one is going to get out of hand fast, and the Texans will need to throw early and often to keep up. Deshaun Watson is going to throw the ball, and Coutee’s going to have an opportunity to make plays.

DeVante Parker

There should be better options than DeVante Parker, but you could do worse if you’re in an absurdly deep league. Nobody wants to start DeVante Parker, or really anyone associated with the Miami Dolphins. That said, Parker has a solid opportunity and is due for a breakout performance sooner or later.

According to the Air Yards model, Parker enters Week 6 with 201 receiving yards versus 487 air yards. This 286-yard disparity is one of the largest gaps in the NFL. The Dolphins want to get the ball to Parker, and they’re trying to connect deep down the field. At some point, Parker’s going to start bringing in these deep targets, and Parker faces a suspect Washington Redskins defense in Week 6. If you’re in a deep league and need a high-upside play, you could do worse than DeVante Parker.

Honorable Mention: Auden Tate

Running Back Week 6 Waiver Wire Claims
Quarterback Week 6 Waiver Wire Claims
Defense Week 6 Waiver Wire Claims

Main photo:
Embed from Getty Images

Jamison Crowder and Keke Coutee are two of the top fantasy football wide receiver waiver wire claims for Week 6 of the NFL season.

[54,59
5720,1920,4291,294,61,857,504,3943,1868,3696,301,40,1535
post-74271","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-editorials","category-fantasy","tag-auden-tate","tag-cooper-kupp","tag-devante-parker","tag-fantasy-football","tag-football","tag-jamison-crowder","tag-keenan-allen","tag-keke-coutee","tag-kenny-stills","tag-luke-falk","tag-michael-thomas","tag-nfl","tag-sam-darnold
["GET
