Four weeks of NFL play are officially in the books, which means bye weeks are in full swing. Gone are the days where you could just coast by on a strong draft. Now more than ever, you\u2019ll need to search the waiver wire for all the best available quarterbacks. Heading into Week 5, you should set your eyes on Jacoby Brissett<\/a>, Chase Daniel<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Teddy Bridgewater<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Note that in order to make this list, the player had to be available in over 50% of fantasy leagues. If you\u2019re in smaller leagues, there may be better players available. Make sure to check your waivers to see if there are any diamonds in the rough before submitting your claims.<\/p>\n

Jacoby Brissett, Chase Daniel Highlight Fantasy Football Quarterback Week 5 Waiver Wire Streams<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Jacoby Brissett<\/h3>\n

As a general rule, you should always start the quarterback playing against the Kansas City Chiefs. Even though he didn\u2019t throw a touchdown in Week 4, Patrick Mahomes<\/a><\/strong> still operates the most dangerous and efficient offense in the NFL. Jacoby Brissett is going to throw early and often to keep up with Kansas City\u2019s offense, and Kansas City\u2019s defense isn\u2019t particularly great at stopping opposing passing attacks.<\/p>\n

Brissett proved in Week 4 that he\u2019s capable<\/a> of putting up solid fantasy numbers even when he doesn\u2019t have T.Y. Hilton<\/a><\/strong> by his side. During Sunday\u2019s action, Brissett threw for 265 yards, three touchdowns and one interception while adding 19 yards on the ground. He\u2019s not going to be a top-five option by any means, but he\u2019s a great streaming candidate.<\/p>\n

Chase Daniel<\/h3>\n

I guarantee you that Chase Daniel is available in your fantasy league. Mitchell Trubisky<\/a><\/strong> suffered a shoulder injury in Week 5 and reportedly could be sidelined for the next few weeks. Chase Daniel came on in relief and put together a solid performance against an impressive Minnesota Vikings squad. During his abbreviated game action, Daniel threw for 195 yards and one touchdown without turning the ball over.<\/p>\n

Matt Nagy<\/strong> has created a perfect system in which just about any quarterback is capable of putting up strong fantasy numbers. Mitchell Trubisky is not a good quarterback, but he\u2019s remained relevant in fantasy thanks to Nagy\u2019s scheme and a talented supporting cast. Daniel should be able to put up starting-caliber numbers against an underwhelming Oakland Raiders defense in Week 5.<\/p>\n

Teddy Bridgewater<\/h3>\n

Teddy Bridgewater is only a starting-caliber stream in deep superflex leagues. However, he\u2019s only 3.3% owned and could put up a respectable performance against an overmatched Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense. Michael Thomas<\/a><\/strong> and Alvin Kamara<\/a><\/strong> are both ridiculously talented players capable of carrying an offense all on their own. Kamara, in particular, has the ability to turn any dumpoff into a massive gain.<\/p>\n

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense cannot stop anything through the air, while Jameis Winston<\/a><\/strong> is riding a hot streak. This could turn into a high-scoring affair, which means Bridgewater might have to use his arm to keep pace. If that happens, he has what it takes to be a middling QB2. It\u2019s not ideal, but it\u2019s something.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
