Gone are the days where you could just coast by on a strong draft. Now more than ever, you’ll need to search the waiver wire for all the best available wide receivers. Heading into Week 4, you should set your eyes on Phillip Dorsett, Nelson Agholor, and Golden Tate.

Note that in order to make this list, the player had to be available in over 50% of fantasy leagues. If you’re in smaller leagues, there may be better players available. Make sure to check your waivers to see if there are any diamonds in the rough before submitting your claims.

Running Back Wavier Wire Claims
Quarterback Waiver Wire Streams
Week 4 Defense Streams

Phillip Dorsett, Nelson Agholor Highlight Fantasy Football Week 4 Wide Receiver Waiver Claims

Phillip Dorsett

Julian Edelman suffered a rib injury in Week 3 and might not be ready for Week 4’s action. While the Patriots haven’t announced an official timetable as of this posting, ESPN’s Mike Reiss reports that Edelman is going to be “ok”. However, Reiss didn’t say whether or not Edelman is going to be ready to go on Sunday. If he’s out of the lineup, Phillip Dorsett is a must-add. Dorsett is quietly one of Tom Brady’s most reliable weapons, and he’s going to have a big role without Edelman.

Outside of Josh Gordon, no other wide receiver has a proven rapport with Tom Brady. Going back to 2018, Dorsett has caught 26 of his previous 27 targets and has seen an increase in volume during this short season. Dorsett finished his night with six receptions, 53 yards, and one touchdown in a blowout win over the New York Jets. He’s only going to see more snaps and targets without Edelman, so make sure to grab him in any format you can. Even if Edelman does play, Dorsett is still going to see snaps in three-receiver sets. Worst-case scenario, he’s still worth a bench spot.

Nelson Agholor

Just about every wide receiver on the Eagles outside of Nelson Agholor is battling some type of injury. DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery missed Week 3 with various injuries, and Agholor stepped up in their absence. The former first-round pick recorded eight receptions for 50 yards and two touchdowns while serving as the de-facto WR1 in the offense. He had an ugly fumble, but the Eagles have no other choice but to play him while Jeffery and Jackson are injured.

The Eagles play on Thursday Night Football, which obviously gives less recovery time for Jeffery and Jackson. If those two can’t go, Agholor is a high-floor start thanks to his high target share. Zach Ertz is still going to lead the way in targets, but Agholor should be right behind him if he’s the WR1 on Thursday.

Golden Tate

If you’re looking for a one-week stream, don’t pick Golden Tate. Tate is currently serving a four-game suspension and won’t be around for next week’s action. However, the former Philadelphia Eagle is going to be back after that, and he’ll be a week-in, week-out WR2 in New York’s offense. Daniel Jones looked good in his NFL debut and should be a clear upgrade on Eli Manning.

Tate excels in the slot as a possession receiver, making him all the more valuable in PPR formats. Tate is going to be next week’s big pickup – stay ahead of the pack by grabbing him now.

D.J. Chark

D.J. Chark is going to stay on this list until his ownership exceeds 50%. Gardner Minshew is getting more comfortable in the offense and D.J.
