Gone are the days where you could just coast by on a strong draft. Now more than ever, you’ll need to search the waiver wire for all the best available quarterbacks. Heading into Week 4, you should set your eyes on Matthew Stafford, Kyle Allen, Jacoby Brissett, and Daniel Jones.

Note that in order to make this list, the player had to be available in over 50% of fantasy leagues. The longtime NFL veteran played through a broken back in 2018, so it’s no surprise he’s played better now that he’s healthy. So far on the season, Stafford has thrown for 831 yards, six touchdowns, and two interceptions. He’s no Patrick Mahomes, but Stafford has the ability to deliver a starting-caliber performance for your fantasy team on a weekly basis.

Speaking of Mahomes, Stafford faces off against the reigning MVP in Week 4. The Kansas City Chiefs have the best offense in the league but still struggles to get stops on defense. Stafford is going to have to throw early and often to keep up with Mahomes, and Kansas City’s defense shouldn’t be much of an obstacle. Matthew Stafford is currently owned in 46.0% of NFL.com leagues, so make sure to pick him up and stream him off the waiver wire.

Kyle Allen

Keep an eye on the injury report. If Cam Newton plays, then you’ll obviously need to pivot away from Kyle Allen. However, if Newton needs more time to heal, or if Allen already won the job, Kyle Allen is a smart play in Week 4. Kyle Allen looked good during his lone start in 2018 and followed it up with a strong 2019 debut. Facing off against the Arizona Cardinals, Allen went 19/26 with 261 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions.

At this point in time, it’s not controversial to say that Allen is a better pure passer than Cam Newton. The Panthers face off against a subpar Houston Texans defense, and Allen should put up a good game against this unit. Deshaun Watson should put up points, which means Allen’s going to have to throw to keep up. He might not be QB1 material, but he’s a capable starter in two-quarterback leagues.

Jacoby Brissett

Jacoby Brissett is no Andrew Luck, but he’s an NFL-caliber starter. The former third-round pick continues to get better with experience, throwing for 310 yards and two touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons. He’s clearly more comfortable under center and head coach Frank Reich is starting to put more of the offense in Brissett’s hands.

Jacoby Brissett faces off against an overmatched Oakland Raiders secondary in Week 4. The 2019 Raiders are better than their 2018 counterparts, but this team still has holes all across the roster. Brissett is easily capable of tearing apart this underwhelming unit and delivering a top-12 performance.

Daniel Jones

The New York Giants rookie put on one hell of a show against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. During his first start, Jones threw for 336 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions while adding another 28 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Jones’ mobility gives him a safe floor, but he has a tougher matchup in Week 4. Jones faces off against a Redskins defense which actually has a few pieces. It’s not an elite unit by any means, but it’s considerably better than Tampa’s defense. Jones showed a lot of promise in Week 3, but let’s see how he does against better competition before getting too excited.

Running Back Waiver Wire Claims
Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Claims
Week 4 Defense Streams

Main photo:
Embed from Getty Images

Fantasy Football Week 4 Quarterback Waiver Wire Streams: Matthew Stafford and Kyle Allen are two of many smart waiver wire pickups.

[59,30,24,54,12,20
55,367,4688,1483,294,61,3562,1500,4799,404,40,32077,1576,3160
post-73511","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-fantasy","category-panthers","category-lions","category-editorials","category-colts","category-giants","tag-andrew-luck","tag-cam-newton","tag-daniel-jones","tag-deshaun-watson","tag-fantasy-football","tag-football","tag-frank-reich","tag-jacoby-brissett","tag-kyle-allen","tag-matthew-stafford","tag-nfl","tag-nfl-quarterbacks","tag-patrick-mahomes","tag-waiver-wire
["GET
