The first two weeks of NFL action is in the books, and the fantasy football landscape is starting to take shape. After months of projection, the first one or two weeks of the season are the most crucial times to nail your waiver wire selections. Defensive performance is inherently volatile, and smart fantasy football owners try to stream the position on the waiver wire rather than get locked into any one team. If you\u2019re looking for a Week 3 fantasy football defense stream on the waiver wire, make sure to look for the Tennessee Titans<\/a>, Green Bay Packers<\/a>, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Note that this list only includes defenses that are available in over 50% of fantasy leagues. If you\u2019re playing in a smaller league, there\u2019s a chance that the Dallas Cowboys fantasy defense is available. If they are, make sure to pick them up. However, if they\u2019re not and you\u2019re left scraping the bottom of the barrel, you should think about grabbing one of these three teams.<\/p>\n

Tennessee Titans, Green Bay Packers Highlight Fantasy Football Week 3 Defense Waiver Wire Streams<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Tennessee Titans<\/h3>\n

The Tennessee Titans defense is really good. One week after recording five sacks, three interceptions, a safety, and a touchdown, the Titans defense recorded three sacks, one safety, and a fumble recovery against the Indianapolis Colts. This defense has playmakers at all levels and faces yet another favorable matchup in Week 3.<\/p>\n

Gardner Minshew<\/a><\/strong> might be Twitter\u2019s favorite quarterback, but he still has a ways to go before he\u2019s a starting-caliber quarterback. The sixth-round rookie only put up 12 points against a subpar Houston Texans defense, so Tennessee should have even more success. Don\u2019t be surprised if the Titans finish the week as a top-three defense.<\/p>\n

Green Bay Packers<\/h3>\n

Aaron Rodgers<\/a><\/strong> finally has a good defense. Green Bay spent the offseason investing in their defense, and they\u2019re getting a solid return. In Week One, the Packers recorded five sacks and one interception while allowing just three points. They topped that in Week 2 by recording one sack, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries while allowing just 16 points against a solid Minnesota Vikings offense.<\/p>\n

The Packers face off against one of the worst offenses in the league in the Denver Broncos. Joe Flacco<\/a><\/strong> is not elite and the run game isn\u2019t doing much of anything behind a subpar offensive line. The Packers should rack up sacks and interceptions while limiting points. It\u2019s hard to ask for more than that from a defensive stream.<\/p>\n

Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/h3>\n

Don\u2019t do this unless you\u2019re truly desperate. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers do not have a good defense, but they\u2019ve proven capable<\/a> of exploiting favorable matchups. In Week 1, they recorded one interception, one fumble recovery, one sack, and one touchdown. In Week 2, they recorded three sacks and a fumble recovery. These outings came against poor offenses, but they face another poor offense in Week 3.<\/p>\n

The New York Giants are still rolling out Eli Manning<\/a><\/strong>, and they might not have Sterling Shepard<\/a><\/strong> for the second straight week. New York doesn\u2019t have a transcendent talent in the passing game, and Manning is no longer capable of elevating the talent around him. Tampa Bay is good enough to slow this dismal unit and come away with a turnover.<\/p>\n
