After a long off-season NFL football is finally back, and so are the increasingly popular fantasy football tourn<\/span>aments run by sites such as\u00a0<\/span>FanDuel<\/span> and DraftKings.\u00a0<\/span>The first week of the season can be more difficult when it comes to predicting which players will be the most <\/span>successful. Thankfully, the game matchups for Week one this year have left fantasy football fans with a great <\/span>pool of possible sleeper picks to help fill lineups.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NFL Week One Fantasy Football Steals<\/h2>\n

Quarterbacks<\/span><\/h3>\n

Nick <\/span>Foles<\/span>, Jacksonville Jaguars\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Nick\u00a0Foles<\/strong><\/a> and the Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> are set to match up against the Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> Week one, which may make <\/span>Foles<\/span> a solid asset to any fantasy lineup. Kansas City <\/span>notably<\/span>\u00a0lost\u00a0<\/span>a good chunk of their defensive talent over the off-season, including defensive ends<\/span>\u00a0Dee Ford<\/strong><\/a> and Justin Houston<\/a><\/strong>. Those losses weakened the Chiefs de<\/span>fense which will provide an opportunity for Foles to put up big numbers<\/span>. Priced at just $6,500 on\u00a0<\/span>FanDuel<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>Foles<\/span> is significantly cheaper than the majority of other quarterbacks and may be worth playing in Week one.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jacoby Brissett, Indianapolis Colts<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

This one is high risk, but potentially high reward. <\/span>Following<\/span> the announcement of Andrew Luck<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s retirement, Jacoby <\/strong><\/a><\/span>Brissett<\/strong> was promoted to starting quarterback<\/span>\u00a0for the Indianapolis Colts<\/a><\/span> in their Week one matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers<\/a><\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n

However,\u00a0<\/span>FanDuel’s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>rankings still have Brissett mixed in with all the NFL\u2019s other second-string quarterbacks, leaving him at a <\/span>price of only $6,000. Compared to the top-ranked quarterbacks for the week, that\u2019s over a $2,000 price difference. The difference in fantasy points <\/span>is generally at a much smaller gap between starting quarterbacks than it is for starting running backs or wide receivers. The money saved with this pic<\/span>k may allow fantasy fans to fill in other positions on their roster with high priced talent. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wide Receiver<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Adam Thielen, Minnesota Vikings<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Adam Thielen<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s current price on F<\/span>anDuel<\/span> is $7,400 for Week one, a pretty reasonable price for <\/span>a player of his talent level. Thielen and the Minnesota Vikings<\/a> take on the Atlanta Falcons<\/a>, <\/span>which should be a favorable matchup for Thielen. Vikings receiver\u00a0<\/span>Stefon\u00a0Diggs<\/strong><\/a>, who usually splits targets with Thielen, is also battling a hamstring injury and looks unlikely to play Sunday. Diggs sitting out should only\u00a0<\/span>increase Thielen<\/span>\u2019<\/span>s<\/span> targets and production. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tyler Lockett, Seattle Seahawks<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Tyler Lockett<\/strong><\/a> is priced on FanD<\/span>uel<\/span>\u00a0at $6,<\/span>800 as he\u00a0<\/span>faces the Cincinnati Bengals<\/a> this week.<\/span>\u00a0Lockett had an impressive season last\u00a0<\/span>year and<\/span>\u00a0should step up and put up higher<\/span>\u00a0numbers now that he\u2019s the\u00a0<\/span>team’s<\/span>\u00a0number one receiver following Doug Baldwin<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s retirement.\u00a0<\/span>Lockett should be locked in as a safe pick at an affordable price.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tyrell Williams, Oakland Raiders<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Oakland Raiders<\/a> receiver Antonio Brown<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s likely suspension for Week one boosts Tyrell Williams<\/strong><\/a><\/span>‘ value way up. Williams was already set to start, but now will likely be Derek Carr<\/a><\/strong>‘s <\/span>number one target. Oakland is facing\u00a0<\/span>the Denver Broncos<\/a>, who have a solid defense, so while Williams may not put up any crazy numbers, he should certainly provide a reasonable return on his price tag. Williams is priced at just $5,400 and should easily <\/span>put up numbers that exceed any other player priced around that area.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Running Back<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Dalvin Cook, <\/span>Minnesota<\/span>\u00a0Vikings<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Priced at\u00a0<\/span>$7,400, Dalvin Cook<\/strong><\/a> is priced low for his skill set. Cook is facing the Atlanta Falcons defense, who gave up the most fantasy points to running <\/span>backs in 2018. As the Vikings starting running back, Cook <\/span>will<\/span> see lots of carries and targets and <\/span>should put up points comparable to the\u00a0<\/span>league’s<\/span> top running backs. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Mark Ingram, Baltimore Ravens<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Tight End<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Hunter Henry, Los Angeles Chargers<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

In Week one, Hunter Henry<\/strong><\/a> should be able to put up numbers rivaling the league’s top tight ends, such as Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a> or Zach Ertz<\/strong><\/a>, all while at a significantly lower price tag. Priced at just $6,100 Henry should be a no braine<\/span>r as he faces the Indianapolis Colts<\/span>. Henry is now fully healthy and should make his presence known. He should receive<\/span> a lot of targets, e<\/span>specially while running back <\/span>Melvin Gordon<\/strong><\/a> is holding out.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jared Cook, New Orleans Saints<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Jared Cook<\/strong><\/a> and the Saints face the Houston Texans<\/a> Week one. The Texans have a strong defense,<\/span> but they have been known to<\/span>\u00a0struggle in\u00a0<\/span>defending tight ends. L<\/span>ast season Houston gave up the fifth most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. <\/span><\/p>\n

Behind starting wide receiver Michael Thomas<\/strong><\/a>, Cook should receive the second most passing targets for the Saints this week.<\/span> Cook has shown great chemistry with quarterback Drew Brees<\/strong><\/a> during training camps over the off-season and could easily have an impressive debut with the Saints. Cook is priced at $6,000, a price which could easily return a huge payout.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Defense<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Philadelphia<\/span>\u00a0Eagles\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

The Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> start the season at home against the Washington Redskins<\/a>. Although the third-highest priced defense at $4,600, this week provides very few matchups that <\/span>guarantee<\/span> a reliable defense. T<\/span>he price differential between defenses is nowhere near steep enough to risk taking a cheaper pick. The Eagles are facing a weak Redskins offense and should be a safe pick.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For Mark Ingram<\/strong><\/a>‘s debut with the Baltimore Ravens<\/a>, he faces a weak Miami Dolphins<\/a> defense. Priced at just $6,600 Ingram should be a safe pick. In the past two seasons, while with the New Orleans Saints<\/a>, he<\/span> put up numbers which placed him in the top-10 running backs consistently. And that was<\/span> while he was splitting touches with Alvin Kamara<\/strong><\/a>. As the sole starting back for Baltimore now, Ingram should continue to put up top-10 numbers<\/span>. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
