The New York Giants<\/a> are one of the heritage franchises of the NFL<\/strong><\/a>. Big Blue built their championship legacy on defense. Players like\u00a0Leonard Marshall<\/a><\/strong>, Carl Banks<\/a><\/strong>, Osi Umenyiora<\/a><\/strong>, Michael Strahan<\/a><\/strong>, and Hall of Famer\u00a0Lawrence Taylor<\/a> <\/strong>destroyed\u00a0offensive lines.\u00a0But with training camp underway, the Giants currently lack a dominant pass rusher.\u00a0Defensive coordinator James Bettcher <\/strong>hopes\u00a0outside linebacker Lorenzo Carter<\/a><\/strong>, a second-year player drafted in the third round, will become a force on the defensive line. The Giants finished the 2018 regular season with a total of just 30 sacks. The only other team in the NFL with fewer sacks was the Oakland Raiders<\/strong>, who traded linebacker\u00a0Khalil Mack<\/a><\/strong> before the start of the 2018 season.
