He joined Brady and Manning in the history books after throwing fifty touchdowns in a single season. There\u2019s no doubt that Mahomes has great fantasy value<\/a>; he was named the NFL MVP in 2018. However, there is some concern that he may slow down or hit the dreaded \u201csophomore slump\u201d in his second year at a starting position. While there\u2019s never any way to know for certain, there\u2019s little evidence to actually warrant these concerns. Mahomes will continue to be surrounded by top-tier talent, and his youth and consistency of play suggest that he\u2019s the real deal.<\/p>\n Despite coming off an injured season and dealing with a brand-new offense, Andrew Luck showed solid talent and leadership in 2018. He had 39 passing TDs, and threw for over 4,500 yards. Andrew Luck is the definition of consistency, and it\u2019s likely you can rely on him for another stellar year at QB; possibly even better than 2018 given that he\u2019s had some time to sync with the newer offensive talent.<\/p>\n While Aaron Rodgers didn\u2019t have the level of production that fans have come to associate with him in years past, he still ranked as the no. 6 QB overall for 2018. Rodgers is still one of the most solid QB 1 options in the NFL and is worth going for in your fantasy draft (especially if exaggerations of his decline<\/a> help you secure him at a bargain).<\/p>\n The Saints have been heavy on the running game in the past couple years, but this didn\u2019t stop Brees from being the #2 ranked QB in 2018. Brees only threw 5 interceptions all season, and he had a record setting completion percentage at 74.4. There\u2019s no reason to think anything will change for this star quarterback going into 2019.<\/p>\n Last season the Falcons suffered some major injury setbacks<\/a> to both defensive starters and running backs, meaning that Matt Ryan spent an insane amount of time on the field, ultimately throwing over 600 passes in a single season. Despite the pressure of his situation, the stats speak for themselves since he racked up nearly 5,000 passing yards and 35 passing TDs. He should have less pressure on him this season, and we can continue to expect him to deliver at QB 1 status.<\/p>\n Major changes to the Seahawks offense took a toll on Wilson in the 2018 season, in which he made significantly fewer pass attempts than seen in previous seasons. He was also sacked 51 times, and yet still managed to throw 35 touchdowns. Talent isn\u2019t an issue with Wilson — the real question will be opportunity.<\/p>\n Rivers was ranked third at the end of the 2018 season, throwing for 4,308 yards and accumulating 32 passing touchdowns. These stats certainly put him amongst the fantasy elite, and the Chargers are poised to have another highly competitive season in 2019.<\/p>\n Despite dealing with a chest injury mid-season, Watson showed promising statistics that landed him a solid end-of-season ranking in 2018. Back to full health and now joined by a healthy Fuller, Coutee, and Hopkins, and it\u2019s looking like a great season for Watson.<\/p>\n There\u2019s been a lot of hype about Baker Mayfield, who had a very solid rookie season and ended a 19 game losing streak for the Browns. As with Mahomes, there are always fears of a sophomore slump occurring, but the Browns have been stocking up on some exciting talent<\/a> in the off-season, and Mayfield seems to be not just a strong athlete, but a smart player as well.<\/p>\n It goes without saying that Goff had a disappointing end to his 2018 when he was unable to score a touchdown in the Super Bowl. Nevertheless, Goff\u2019s regular season statistics had him ranked at 7th best overall, with over 4,500 passing yards and 32 passing touchdowns.
