With the team beginning their quest for a second championship, let\u2019s take a look at who has the best chance to make it on the Week One roster in the first Eagles roster projection.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Philadelphia Eagles Roster Projection 1.0: Post-Minicamp Edition<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3>Quarterback (2)<\/h3>\n<p><em>In:<\/em>\u00a0Carson Wentz, Nate Sudfeld<\/p>\n<p>No big surprises here. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WentCa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Carson Wentz<\/a><\/strong> is obviously the guy and is the unquestioned quarterback of the present and future. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/SudfNa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nate Sudfeld<\/a><\/strong> doesn\u2019t have <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/F\/FoleNi00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nick Foles<\/a><\/strong>\u2019 impressive resume, so he has big shoes to fill as the backup. That said, Philadelphia clearly likes the kid and Sudfeld has looked adequate in limited action. He\u2019s a downgrade from Foles, but still good enough to serve as the backup.<\/p>\n<p>Fifth-round rookie <strong>Clayton Thorson<\/strong> is one of the last cuts in this Eagles roster projection. While Thorson doesn\u2019t have the highest ceiling, the quarterback position is so important that it\u2019s worth stashing the position if you believe he can develop. If he impresses in training camp and the preseason, the Eagles will find a way to keep him around. At the very least, Thorson should spend the year on the practice squad.<\/p>\n<h3>Running Back (5)<\/h3>\n<p><em>In: <\/em>Sanders, Howard, Clement, Adams, Scott<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/H\/HowaJo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jordan Howard<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnfl.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2019\/03\/18\/miles-sanders-2019-nfl-draft-profile\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Miles Sanders<\/a>, <\/strong>and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/C\/ClemCo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Corey Clement<\/a><\/strong> aren\u2019t going anywhere. Each player offers a unique skill set and can function as the 2019 version of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BlouLe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LeGarrette Blount<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/A\/AjayJa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jay Ajayi<\/a><\/strong>, and Clement backfield. The final two spots is where things get interesting.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/A\/AdamJo03.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Josh Adams<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/ScotBo02.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Boston Scott<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/SmalWe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wendell Smallwood<\/a><\/strong> are fighting for a maximum of two spots. As of now, Smallwood is the odd-man out. Adams led the 2018 Eagles in rushing and showed flashes of potential in the process. Scott, meanwhile, is reportedly having a great camp and is the teams\u2019 primary punt returner. Don\u2019t be surprised to see him take on a bigger role as the season progresses.<\/p>\n<h3>Wide Receiver (5)<\/h3>\n<p><em>In: <\/em>Alshon\u00a0Jeffery, DeSean Jackson, Nelson Agholor, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, Marken Michel<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JeffAl00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alshon Jeffery<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/A\/AghoNe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nelson Agholor<\/a><\/strong> proved they can be an effective duo, and adding <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JackDe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DeSean Jackson<\/a><\/strong> into the mix is just unfair. These three are locks and have the tools to perfectly complement each other in this offense. <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnfl.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2019\/04\/19\/j-j-arcega-whiteside-2019-nfl-draft-profile\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>J.J. Arcega-Whiteside<\/strong><\/a>, meanwhile, can serve as a red zone specialist and should end the year with a high touchdown count. <strong>Marken Michel<\/strong> earns the final spot, as he\u2019s reportedly one of the standouts in minicamps. Of course, the former CFL star will need to transfer his success to the preseason before he is considered a roster lock.<\/p>\n<h3>Tight End (3)<\/h3>\n<p><em>In: <\/em>Zach\u00a0Ertz, Dallas Goedert, Richard Rodgers<\/p>\n<p>Once again, this isn\u2019t a big surprise. Philadelphia arguably has the best tight end depth chart in the league, and it all starts with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/E\/ErtzZa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zach Ertz<\/a><\/strong>. Ertz is arguably the best tight end in the league and should remain one of the key pieces in the offense. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GoedDa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dallas Goedert<\/a><\/strong> has a chance to be one of the best TE2\u2019s in the league while <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/R\/RodgRi00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Richard Rodgers<\/a><\/strong> provides enviable depth in case of injury.<\/p>\n<h3>Offensive Line (9)<\/h3>\n<p><em>In: <\/em>Jason\u00a0Peters, Isaac Seumolu, Jason Kelce, Halapoulivaati Vaitai, Lane Johnson, Andre Dilliard, Jordan Mailata, Stefen Wisniewski, Matt Pryor<\/p>\n<p><em>PUP: <\/em>Brandon\u00a0Brooks<\/p>\n<p>Call me a pessimist, but I cannot see <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BrooBr00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brandon Brooks<\/a><\/strong> being ready for Week One after rupturing his Achilles in the playoffs. In this projection, he starts the year on the Physically Unable to Perform list, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/V\/VaitHa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Halapoulivaati Vaitai<\/a><\/strong> starts in his place. The rest of the starting offensive line is set with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/P\/PeteJa21.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jason Peters<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/SeumIs00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Isaac Seumalo<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/K\/KelcJa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jason Kelce<\/a>, <\/strong>and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JohnLa01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lane Johnson<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnfl.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2019\/04\/15\/andre-dillard-2019-nfl-draft-profile\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Andre Dillard<\/strong><\/a> appears to have the upper hand for the swing tackle position while <strong>Jordan Mailata<\/strong> serves as emergency depth. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WisnSt01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Stefen Wisniewski<\/a><\/strong> serves as interior depth and could challenge Vaitai for a starting job if Brooks isn\u2019t healthy. <strong>Matt Pryor<\/strong> won\u2019t see the field unless something goes horrifically wrong, but he offers promising upside down the road.<\/p>\n<h3>Defensive Line (10)<\/h3>\n<p><em>In: <\/em>Brandon\u00a0Graham, Fletcher Cox, Malik Jackson, Derek Barnett, Vinny Curry, Timmy Jernigan, Treyvon Hester, Hassan Ridgeway, Josh Sweat, Shareef Miller<\/p>\n<p>The Eagles should have one of the most ferocious front fours in football with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GrahBr99.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brandon Graham<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/C\/CoxxFl00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fletcher Cox<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JernTi00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Malik Jackson<\/a><\/strong>, and<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BarnDe01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Derek Barnett<\/a><\/strong>. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/C\/CurrVi00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vinny Curry<\/a><\/strong> is back in town to prove that his ill-fated season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was an outlier performance, while <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/SweaJo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Josh Sweat<\/a><\/strong> and <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnfl.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2019\/05\/02\/philadelphia-eagles-2019-nfl-draft-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Shareef Miller<\/strong><\/a> hold down the edge depth. Timmy Jernigan and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/H\/HestTr00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Treyvon Hester<\/a><\/strong> might see a decent amount of early playing time given Cox is still recovering from off-season surgery and Jernigan is coming off of a gruesome back injury.<\/p>\n<h3>Linebacker (5)<\/h3>\n<p><em>In:<\/em>\u00a0Nigel Bradham, Zach Brown, Kamu Grugier-Hill, Nathan Gerry, T.J. Edwards<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BradNi00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nigel Bradham<\/a><\/strong> missed minicamp but should be back once the games matter. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BrowZa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zach Brown<\/a><\/strong> is currently projected to start opposite Bradham, but his job could be in jeopardy with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GrugKa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kamu Grugier-Hill<\/a><\/strong> performing well in minicamps. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GerrNa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nathan Gerry<\/a><\/strong> holds down one of the depth spots while <strong>T.J. Edwards<\/strong> narrowly beats out <strong>L.J. Fort<\/strong> for the final spot.<\/p>\n<h3>Cornerback (6)<\/h3>\n<p><em>In: <\/em>Ronald\u00a0Darby, Jalen Mills, Avonte Maddox, Sidney Jones, Rasul Douglas, Cre&#8217;Von LeBlanc<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/D\/DarbRo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ronald Darby<\/a><\/strong> should be healthy enough to be the Week One starter, but\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MillJa02.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jalen Mills<\/a><\/strong> might not be ready for Week One. Since I put Brooks on the PUP earlier, let\u2019s go for the optimistic tone in this Eagles roster projection and assume Mills is ready for the start of the season. If that\u2019s the case, look for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MaddAv00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Avonte Maddox<\/a><\/strong> to be the first guy off the bench, with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/D\/DougRa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rasul Douglas<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JoneSi00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sidney Jones<\/a>, <\/strong>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/L\/LeBlCr01.htm\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Cre\u2019Von LeBlanc<\/strong><\/a> rounding out the depth chart.<\/p>\n<h3>Safety (5)<\/h3>\n<p><em>In: <\/em>Malcolm\u00a0Jenkins, Rodney McLeod, Brandon Graham, Tre Sullivan, Blake Countess<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JenkMa99.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Malcolm Jenkins<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/McLeRo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rodney McLeod<\/a><\/strong> are the starters, but the depth is where things get interesting. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/SendAn00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Andrew Sendejo<\/a><\/strong> is a better player than <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GrahCo99.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Corey Graham<\/a><\/strong>, but keeping Sendejo will cost Philadelphia a fourth-round compensatory pick.
