After Manziel’s 2015 season, Manziel was released from the Cleveland Browns after playing 10 of 16 games. Manziel checked into a rehab to get his life back together after struggling with off the field issues. In his short lived NFL career, Manziel finished with two wins, six losses as a starter, almost 1700 yards passing, seven touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Manziel stepped away from the limelight for a while. He would later join the Spring 2018 developmental league and eventually signing a two year deal with the Hamilton Tigers of the CFL. Over the summer, Hamilton traded Manziel to Montreal. During the 2018 season, he made eight starts. In those games, Manziel’s totals were five touchdowns and seven interceptions on a 64 percent completion rate, throwing for almost 1300 yards.

Manziel is a dynamic player, who can provide a spark for the lowly Memphis Express or Salt Lake Stallions. Those two teams would be in the running for Manziel, considering they have the lowest win-loss percentage in the Alliance currently. Manziel can create plays outside of the pocket, something that will be important to be a quarterback for the Express or Stallions. Neither team have a great offensive line.

Bottom Line

This may be Manziel’s last chance. Manziel has not been able to succeed in two of the highest professional football leagues this far. The 26 year old’s theoretical clock is ticking, one or two more personal issues could see a once highly touted quarterback’s career completely disappear.

Main Photo:
Embed from Getty Images

Former Cleveland Browns and Montreal Alouettes quarterback Johnny Manziel has signed the AAF player agreement, per NFL insider Adam Schefter.

[4737,54,2
4626,3990,61,1330
post-61501","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-aaf","category-editorials","category-featured","tag-aaf","tag-alliance-of-american-football","tag-football","tag-johnny-manziel
["GET
