The former Packer is expected to fill the void\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MaugJo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Josh Mauga<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>left when he went down with a hip injury. \u00a0Barrington will be entering his fourth season in the NFL. Four years isn&#8217;t a lot of experience but the Chiefs are pretty young at inside linebacker. \u00a0The exception to this is All-Pro <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/player_search.fcgi?search=Derrick+Johnson&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Derrick Johnson<\/a><\/strong> who is entering his 11th season in the NFL. \u00a0It was believed that second year player <strong>Justin March<\/strong> would fill the hole that Mauga left.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Kansas City Chiefs Sign Sam Barrington<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Sam Barrington was drafted in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. \u00a0The former\u00a0<strong>South Florida Bull\u00a0<\/strong>was placed on injured reserve for most of the 2015 season. \u00a0Over his three year stint with the Packers he recorded 56 tackles, one sack, and one pass deflection.<\/p>\n<p>With the regular season right around the corner the Chiefs have to waive a player to make room for Barrington. \u00a0Kansas City decided to waive second year player<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WilsRa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ramik Wilson<\/a><\/strong>. The former\u00a0<strong>Georgia Bulldog\u00a0<\/strong>was drafted by Kansas City in the fourth round in the 2015 draft. \u00a0Wilson recorded 20 career tackles, as well as a fumble recovery and a defensive touchdown.<\/p>\n<p>It is believed that Barrington will be the starter for now. \u00a0However, March and other second year linebacker <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/A\/AlexD.00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">D.J.
