The now 37 year-old tackle is widely respected around the league and regarded as one of the best left tackles of the past two decades. Despite lingering pain from last year’s ACL injury, a quadricep injury and a torn bicep, Peters battled in the trenches for Philadelphia like true pro.

Wentz is lucky to have the 6-4, 328-pound Peters protecting his blindside. Although he received a ring, it is not the same since he wasn’t on the field for such an achievement. After a playoff run in 2018 was cut short after a close loss to the New Orleans Saints, it is no surprise that Peters wants one more crack at it. The Eagles were not ready to give up on the man who has protected the blindside of their quarterbacks for 10 years.

As a nine-time Pro Bowler and a soon to be 16-year veteran in the league, his experience is priceless. Peters is a instrumental in preparing the rest of the offensive line for their opponents and training the upcoming talent. There are some techniques and knowledge that you cannot Google; it can only be passed down by veterans like Peters. Now healthy and with a contract in 2019 secured, Peters now just needs to prepare for one last ride in midnight green.

Main Photo

Embed from Getty Images

Jason Peters has re-signed with the Philadelphia Eagles.
